a fairy tale light and sky happening on the other side of the mountain... home cinema live from our garden!

Lo, how a rose e'er blooming,

From tender stem hath sprung.

Of Jesse's lineage coming,

As men of old have sung;

It came, a flow'ret bright,

Amid the cold of winter,

When halfspent was the night.

Isaiah 'twas foretold it,

The Rose I have in mind,

With Mary we behold it,

The virgin mother kind;

To show God's love aright,

She bore to us a Savior,

When halfspent was the night

O Flower, whose fragrance tender

With sweetness fills the air,

Dispel with glorious splendour

The darkness everywhere;

True man, yet very God,

From Sin and death now save us,

And share our every load.*

"Es ist ein Ros' entsprungen..."

On top of the vinyard the fog started to diminish,

revealing the trees and the path...

The woods around are full of strange grown trees

some say it is because in former days people

would cut the growing branches others say

it is because they are growing over old

volcanos... still full of energy which causes them

to look like they had cancer...

I am planning a photoseries about them...

Last night we had lots of rain. This morning on my everyday walk into the vinyards

all the flowers and grasses were sparkling all over, it was fantastic. Though a little

difficult to photograph, just too much of light ;)) Only the photographs I took in the shade

of some other plants turned out ok.

Just a little note: I am so incredibly busy with the office and the family in these days...

so I won't be able to be visiting and commenting as I would like to. I will try to catch up

the next days or whenever I have some moments inbetween.

Out of the Rolling Ocean ...

Out of the rolling ocean the crowd came a drop gently to me,

Whispering I love you, before long I die,

I have travel'd a long way merely to look on you to touch you,

For I could not die till I once look'd on you,

For I fear'd I might afterward lose you.

Now we have met, we have look'd, we are safe,

Return in peace to the ocean my love,

I too am part of that ocean my love, we are not so much separated,

Behold the great rondure, the cohesion of all, how perfect!

But as for me, for you, the irresistible sea is to separate us,

As for an hour carrying us diverse, yet cannot carry us diverse forever;

Be not impatient--a little space--know you I salute the air, the

ocean and the land,

Every day at sundown for your dear sake my love.*

A gentle moment that makes the day feel warmer — the kind of quiet brightness we all need sometimes.

Passing an open door in the old narrow lane I caught this very dark passage and the reflection of the light in the ceiling. The neighbourhood is full of life and colour with laundry on the dry, old ladies washing vegetables and chatting, small markets taking up more than half of the very narrow lane and the comings and goings of the day where people share their lives and there cannot be any secrets.

An old lady living here came through with a little white dog and wondered what I saw in this shabby place. I told her - life and beauty.

En el interior de la venta de Alfarnate (Axarquía / Costa del Sol).

Since I can't go out to take photos for safety reasons, I took photos at home. He had not taken photos since October 6, the day before the brutal massacre in Israel by Hamas terrorists. This glass boot represents me. This is how i feel. Despite all the emotional darkness we are experiencing, I try to stay hopeful and whole.

... I downloaded this free texture a few days ago and forgot where I found it. If you recognize your texture... please tell me so I can give you the credits for it :-)

...I met him today

It was quite a job to get the focus on the right spot (not that easy with f/2.8 and

handheld). Fortunately snails are sooo slow it works to focus just on this tiny,

little eye!

The little leaves of a maple tree still folded up...

TIO's butterfly the other day inspired me to this photograph!

I love Calendulas... they have such a wonderful glow... I love the scent of their leaves if you rub them... and I use their healing power for my childrens bruises...

Have a Wonderful Month!

London, one camera ago.

'Coffee shops' were unknown to London when this beautiful place was built (once a tea parlour, perhaps?)... They call it Globalisation.

Can't get enough of my beloved Gingko biloba tree...

To honour the Ginkgo, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe wrote the following poem:

GINKGO BILOBA

The leaf of this Eastern tree

Which has been entrusted to my garden

Offers a feast of secret significance,

For the edification of the initiate.

Is it one living thing

That has become divided within itself?

Are these two who have chosen each other,

So that we know them as one?

I think I have found the right answer

To these questions;

Do my songs not make you feel

That I am both one and twain?

(J.W. v. Goethe)

Y en Espanol:

GINKGO BILOBA

The anemonas in my garden are in full bloom... I think over the last years I must have taken over 100 photographs of these beautiful garden dancers... still I couldn't withstand this morning... it was difficult to limit myself to upload only four of them ;)

Wishing all of you a wonderful start in the week! I still haven't caught up with all of you after returning from my vacations... there are over 160 flickrMails waiting to be answered oder looked up (those who marked me as a contact). I feel sooo sorry I am this behind. Hopefully when school starts in a week I will have some more time to be with you!

With My Beloved

With my Beloved I alone have been,

When secrets tender than evening airs

Passed, and the Vision blest

Was granted to my prayers,

That crowned me, else obscure, with endless fame;

The while amazed between

His Beauty and His Majesty

I stood in silent ecstasy

Revealing that which o'er my spirit went and came.

Lo, in His face commingled

Is every charm and grace;

The whole of Beauty singled

Into a perfect face

Beholding Him would cry,

'There is no God but He, and He is the most High. *
