The St. Joseph Michigan North Pier inner range light on last Saturday was viewed from the beach across the South Pier.

Keeping Mind and Body Fit
Crushing boredom was a fact of life in North Vietnamese captivity. To keep their minds active, many POWs memorized the names of every prisoner in their camp, and repeated them every day so that none would be forgotten. Some worked out complex math problems in their heads, and others made detailed observations of insect behavior. Prayer sustained many prisoners. Late in the war, when POW treatment improved, prisoners taught one another languages and other skills--some learned enough to test out of university courses when they returned home. To stay fit, many POWs walked several miles each day in their tiny cells. Others did sit-ups and push-ups. Keeping a strict mental and physical routine helped the men pass the time and stay sharp.

the "inner team" is a psychological method, that i use to support me.
the members of my inner team
have diverse colours and diverse
voices,
i have learned to give all members their sense.
i allow them to speak to me without having angst.
there are voices from the dark, warning me...
par example the guardians of my childhood, that gave me shelter, when i was scared and abused in these former times....
there are the voices of my social background.....they say, you must do like some other people would do.....
there are the voices of wild nature, that give me creative energy.
there are the voices of angst....that will warn me....
and there are the voices of courage, that say to me: live your life.....
they all support me and i thank them all for supporting me, to find my own way.....
it is my own voice, that leads this inner team and find the
decision what i'll do .....

June 16, 2017 - A visit to the Forbidden City or the Palace Museum (Gugong). Construction began in the Ming Dynasty in 1406 and was completed in 1420. The Forbidden City is now a museum and it opened to the public in 1949. In 1987 it was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. For more information please do a search online. Beijing, China.
