Playing with food colourant and water. February 2008 Digital Camera magazine had a two page project on photographing the colour trails of food colourant added to water. These are my attempts, some with affects applied in Photoshop Elements.
Mostly homemade inks (iron gall and black walnut), with a few commercial iron gall inks thrown in for good measure.

These are actually a weed I think, but they are pretty and grow all over our yard in the spring. Just playing with DOF soom.

"Custom Sneaker Exhibition of VANS CLASSIC SLIP ONS"

Based on the work of the italien (Napoli) Mattia Fagnoni Association (more details under the part organizer) theassociation came up with a idea in the end of 2017 to organize a new benefit exhibition to invite artists and selling their works to raise funds for their work.
The shoe become a canvas. The Meaning of ink on shoes is wearing a painting not hanging a painting. Instead of painting a normal canvas the artists paint a shoe. And the best platform or model for a shoe which fits perfectly to the idea is the Vans classic slip on slipper. A lot of space to paint on and most of all the basic material „canvas“. Mattia Fagnoni Association found a retailer who support the exhibition with that particular sneaker model for all participating artists. With that Mattia Fagnoni Association invited over 70 artists until now from all over the world.
Now throughout the help and suppport of the german visusal artist Manuel Heischel – cikcuk Mattia Fagnoni Association is able to present some of the collection in the first “ink on shoes“ exhibition in cooperation with VANS and the VANS-Store-Munich in Germany.

Neither Wicked Queen or I got colored tattoos, though these bottles sitting on a nearby tray caught my eye and seem reminiscent of a couple pics that made the various photorolls during the Spokane Pig Out in the Park.
Materials: assorted fountain pen inks (Diamine, J. Herbin Noodler's ) applied to Stillman & Birn, Beta paper with the end of a spoon.
Notes: yup still mucking about and still can't photograph these colours worth a darn using the iPad.

I like to imagine this owl knows your secret, but it is safe with him. Wink, wink. Ink drawing from the sketchbook, edited in photoshop.
This was intended to be subtle white flowers with a bright background ... like the photo at farm4.static.flickr.com/3085/2354244189_3b3f588454_b.jpg BUT in taking the masking off the flower on the bottom right the paper tore (.. and it was an Arches block!) So ... I went CRAZY with the watercolor pencils, Inktense pencils and ink to salvage it. What do YOU do in these instances .. walk away happy to be alive or apply CPR?
