You need just a handful of ingredients to make khagineh (The Persian Sugar Omelet): eggs, sugar, saffron, ground cardamom, and buttah, I mean butter! :) Recipe! Makes for a delicious breakfast, or a light lunch or supper (with some bread and/or fruit or green salad) Noosheh jaan!

SOME ingredients for my kick-ass chili. Note the Pizza Hut flavor packets. Yes, Pizza Hut. It somehow works. I won't tell you what the other special ingredients are though.

Gazpacho and Salmorejo are both cold Spanish soups, but they differ in their main ingredients, texture, and appearance.

 

Gazpacho is a more complex soup with a wider variety of vegetables, while Salmorejo is simpler, using primarily tomatoes and bread. Gazpacho has a thinner, more fluid consistency due to the addition of water and other vegetables, whereas Salmorejo is thicker and creamier due to a higher proportion of bread

 

Gazpacho

Ingredients: Typically includes tomatoes, cucumbers, bell peppers, onions, garlic, bread, olive oil, vinegar, and water.

Texture: Thinner and more fluid, often served in a glass.

Appearance: Typically red or pink in color.

 

Salmorejo

Ingredients: Primarily made with tomatoes, bread, olive oil, garlic, and vinegar.

Texture: Thicker and creamier due to the higher proportion of bread, often served in a bowl.

“The secret ingredient in my famous mushroom soup is…an acorn!”

 

This Neo Blythe doll is Odette Lake of Tears, joined by Petite Blythe Marmalade Heart. This is for “Alice” on Facebook and “Acorn” on Flickr. The background is a jigsaw puzzle. I had to dig deep in my closet to get this cauldron from the Halloween box!

INGREDIENTS

 

1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro

1 teaspoon minced garlic

1/4 cup margarita mix (from 33.8-oz. bottle)

2 tablespoons tequila

12 shelled deveined uncooked large shrimp with tails left on

 

DIRECTIONS

 

1. Soak 4 bamboo skewers in water for 30 minutes. In 1-quart resealable food storage plastic bag, combine cilantro, garlic, margarita mix and tequila. Add shrimp; seal bag and shake to coat. Refrigerate 30 minutes to marinate.

 

2. Meanwhile, heat grill.

 

3. When ready to grill, thread shrimp on skewers; discard marinade. Place shrimp on gas grill over medium heat or on charcoal grill 4 to 6 inches over medium coals. Cook 5 to 7 minutes or until shrimp turn pink, turning several times.

Lens used is the Pentacon 135mm f/2.8 M42 mount. The the M42 adapter used is programmable and therefore the aperture is correct as f/16. Two external speedlites were used to do the lighting.
