Happy weekend, everyone! The week has zipped by ... gosh, don't they always?! And, oh my goodness, our dear friend Bambi has created the most amazing place to go and hide away from any and all stress and just chill amidst the beauty that she always shares. She has managed to fill a city roofline with myriad rooftop garden spaces, all beckoning us to grab a margarita or three and say cheers to a fun and adventure filled weekend ahead!
Shep and I lingered here for ages and marveled at all of the lush green plants, magical details and cozy ambiance that Bambi had infused every inch of this pixel oasis with. We are deffo going back soon ... the only thing missing was Miss Bam herself to jump into this shot with us!
Sending everyone as much love as you can catch and wishing you a weekend filled with margaritas made only with the most top shelf tequila! đâ¤ď¸
Ingredients
1 cup, extra virgin olive oil
Peel from 1 or 2 lemons
Instructions
Scrub lemons thoroughly before peeling them.
Peel your lemons avoiding any of the white pith.
Place the lemon peel with the olive oil in a sauce pan and cook over a very low heat for 10-15 mins. (make sure the mixture does not boil. You want the flavors to infuse nice and slowly)
Remove from the heat and allow the olive oil to cool down completely.
Remove the peel and pour the oil in a glass bottle or jar.
Store in a cool, dark place to allow the flavors to develop.
Easy and so delicious!!!! HMM everyone!

The blackthorn tree at the aback of the house is full to bursting with sloe berries. I'm not a lover of gin but i think you can infuse them with vodka also! Think i might have a go!!
Oh my, old barn, you are majestic. Finding you here today takes me back to times forgotten. You must have been a busy barn back in the day. Your size tells me that you once (and maybe still) provided shelter for a large herd. Was it cattle or sheep? I wish that you would invite me in. I would love to see what made you tick? Are you still full of hardware? Do you still work storing hay and grain? I can almost smell the rich aroma of molasses infused grain and fresh cut hay. Are you a dreamerâs barn, the place where kids hide from parents and dream of farming or exploring space? What secrets do you hold? Can we be friends? Author unknown.
This is the "almost complete" construction (by our lab), thatâs been going on for a few years now. The full glass facade makes it even more interesting at night with all the lights and entengaled reflections. Thank you for your visit đ
"Infuse your life with action. Don't wait for it to happen. Make it happen. Make your own future. Make your own hope. Make your own love. And whatever your beliefs, honor your creator, not by passively waiting for grace to come down from upon high, but by doing what you can to make grace happen... yourself, right now, right down here on Earth."

UK-made gins are seeing a boom as distillery numbers jump
There are now 820 UK gin distilleries, up from 710 in 2020 and 190 in 2015, Office for National Statistics figures show.
You can even buy kits to make your own.
(The one I made tasted terrible - I think I need to pick your ingredients with more care, chilli may not have been the best choice).
Canvases or gauzes were used primarily for religious and magical purposes. They were made for covering the head of the dead in the form of a headdresses. According to the beliefs of the time, the threads on these fabrics had to be spun in the form of an "S" in an anticlockwise direction. This thread, which had a magical character, was called lloque and, according to legend, the garments were infused with supernatural powers and served as protection in the afterlife.

For this weekâs Macro Mondays âEvolutionâ theme, I have chosen to photograph loose-leaf tea and a tea bag.
As a kid, I was taught to make tea with loose-leaf âTyphoo Teaâ. It had to be made in a pot, and âbrewedâ or âinfusedâ for exactly four minutes! The tea-caddy spoon in the image is about 120 years old, and still used to this day!! Iâll not go in to the âmilk in the cup first / tea then milkâ argument, but suffice to say, itâs different when you make tea in a cup with a tea bag! Tea is the panacea to life, and a staple drink of most (but not all) residents of the UK! I love tea, so it was a pretty simple choice for me :)
Simple set up: All natural light, with post processing in Photoshop and Lightroom CC.
This half of Washington State came to a standstill when Mum Nature stopped by to remind us that it was still Winter so I spent some time in the backyard to watch the multitude of wildlife scramble for food. One such was this fellow, I'd not seen the like before and it was love at first sight. People more learned than I informed me that he's a Varied Thrush.
I wish that I knew how to put the original photo here without posting it because even with the 200mm he's a dot in the middle of white before this major crop. I'm astounded and extremely pleased at the result. Also I'd like to say that I used a preset on my camera that I set up for action months ago and for speeds sake it's set to shoot jpeg, again, I'm blown away by the results. :-)
Blow him up and check him out, he's a beauty.
Infuse your home landscape with a larger-than-life visual impact! The Copper Beech Tree is a fine companion in every season. The trees have an increasingly muscular trunk of elephant-hide bark and magical leaves that look amazing from first hint of unfurling to their moment on the ground, a puddle of delicious cinnamon.

A choice of flower colors are readily available via an easy to use pop-up menu to keep your landscaping current. This tree has a winter option! After a day filled with swims and laughter, she finally takes a moment of pure relaxation. Her feet sink into the warm sand, the air is infused with the sweet scent of the tropics, and distant music drifts through the evening breeze. The sun slowly sets, painting the sky with golden and amber hues. She takes one last sip of her cocktail, a smile on her lips. This fleeting moment, suspended between day and night, between dream and reality, reminds her why she loves this place so much⌠and why sheâs not ready to leave just yet.
There is a beautiful little campground North of Vancouver, BC called "Porteau Cove". The campsites look out over what is apparently the most southerly fjord in North America - from inside your tent, you can hear the water gently lapping against the shore.
Things there are infused with so much beauty. It's a North kind of beauty, full of quiet and stillness and clarity.
This was taken just after sunset, when the blues had begun to deepen, as the sweeping curtain of dark was falling swiftly across the water. I hunkered down with the Hasselblad and came up with a number of moody shots that will forever take me back to that moment and that night and that trip.
Another image from a slightly different perspective of the iconic Golden Gate Bridge as my lovely west coast damsel and I went past the defense batteries and started the downward decent toward Marshall Beach just west of the bridge. Such a contrast as we realized that we had been parked by same location late last summer in the general vicinity of where we were walking but the marine layer was so thick and infusive that literally all that could be seen from that vantage point then was fog. When the Golden Gate Bridge was built, the military originally had wanted the bridge to be painted with black and yellow stripes when they finally agreed to a bridge. There was fear that the bridge would be knocked into the water effectively trapping the fleet stationed at the Presidio from leaving San Francisco Bay. So why is the bridge the reddish orange hue that is now considered iconic? Well when we stopped at the National Parks Station in February to get my NPS Passport Book stamped while my west coast damsel circled as we didnât find a place to park, I read the story while awaiting my turn. When the steel for bridge arrived at San Francisco, it was painted with an anticorrosive primer that was burnt red and orange. Architect Irving Morrow was struck by the color and preferred it to the greys and blacks of most conventional spans. The âinternationalâ orange provided enough contrast to be visible in the fog which as I experienced firsthand literally gets drawn in by the inland heat according to Morrow. Aesthetically speaking it complimented the natural topography of the surrounding hills, the blue waters of the bay and the blues. So, the temporary primer color became the permanent color formulation that Sherwin-Williams created for the span that today is very much its signature.
Also? Maple-ey goodness. That yellow blobby stuff? Cow's ice cream shack. Hmmmmmmm ice cream.
Sad bokeh friday, even sadder because I'm a very bad flickr friend. Be around this weekend. Swear (and I do. often).
Thank you for your visits and kind comments dear friends..
Have a wonderful weekend and a blessed Sunday..
This experimental craft was designed with the intention of drastically increasing survivability of pilots. It features a completely-enclosed hard shell cockpit area that completely shields the pilot and also allows the use of an experimental gamma-infused cannon since the armored enclosure also protects against most radiation types.
The downside of this cockpit layout means that this craft can only be piloted by pilots who have the necessary cybernetic neural implants (cyborgs and synthetic humanoids) to be able to directly interface with the shipâs exterior sensors. Fully organic pilots with no cybernetic augmentation are unable to pilot this craft as they would be literally and figuratively flying blind behind the controls.
Macro Mondays theme : #Tea
This little tea infuser is shaped like a teapot. And just beside it, some Oolong tea leaves. Oolong is a traditional Chinese tea. Itâs made from the leaves of the Camellia Sinensis plant. This tea is known for many of its health benefits.
As a reference, the little teapot plate measures 1 Âźâ in diameter.
Tea anyone?

The tea infuser featured in my picture measures 2 1/4 â. This is actually the diameter of the small plate under the infuser. In the background is a well deserved nice cup of tea. Just what I needed to unwind and warm me up during this gloomy and cold winter day.
Have a great day!
