These are raw and unpasteurised honey infused with ginseng and a bit of beehive. Ginseng is a potent root used in traditional Chinese medicine. This is high in antioxidants and antiflammatory properties. Some health benefits of honey may include improved liver function or heart health, but consuming large amounts may be harmful to your health. Like any sugary drinks, honey is still form of sugar and, hence, must be consumed in moderation.
Fact about honey: Raw honey is a natural product therefore the colour and texture varies depending on the season and level of crystallisation.

I think it's about time to infuse a little bit of color back into my stream. This portrait of the Victoria Crowned Pigeon is just the right photo for this. Those rich blue and dark red tones really make this diva shine in a very elegant way. Color is the very essence of this photo. It is a true joy to indulge and lose yourself in its beauty.
This is the exact reason why I also made a black & white version of it... to be checked out on this stream tomorrow.

in college, i spent a trimester in several countries in south america. for part of my english course, i studied garcia marquez. his name will forever conjure up memories of the time i spent there. that time was so powerful, so diverse and so long ago that it seems like an entirely different person experienced it. the emotion infused into my memories makes me cherish them all the more. i do believe i was a much braver version of my current self back then. but aren't many of us braver in our younger years?
When I asked for a sample.....
I was informed- "it's not ready yet"!
OK- I replied- "How do-ya-know-when-it's-READY?!"
to which I got a shrug of the shoulders.......

Me AND the food. Southern greens cooked all day. Grilled corn, chicken and sweet taters and bread brushed with fresh rosemary infused olive oil. The bread and the greens were to die for!

HMM (macro and monochrome) Monday :) This is one of our several tea infusers for loose tea. Mike and MFM when she visits prefer either green tea or mint tea whereas our youngest daughter when she visits and I prefer herbal or black teas.

A tea infuser is a device in which loose, dried tea leaves are placed for steeping or brewing, in a mug or a teapot full of hot water; it is often called a teaball or tea maker, and sometimes a tea egg.
The tea infuser gained popularity in the first half of the 19th century. Tea infusers enable one to easily steep tea from fannings and broken leaf teas.
Some infusers are removed along with the tea leaves from the pot, while so called shut-off infusers are left in the pot after the brewing process is complete.
