Client
Epicentre is the center of medical research for Doctors Without Borders (Médecins Sans Frontières). With teams based in Europe and Africa, Epicentre conducts clinical trials and assessments of public health problems in countries throughout the Developing World.
Use Case
I developed a model of how the websites could better support the organization by interviewing representative users. I analyzed the existing Internet site, papers and protocols being prepared for publication, and parallel IT projects. Based on this research, I advised Epicentre on the types of content to include on the new site.

In this screencast I illustrate some of the issues with the current navigation on Jacksonville.com AND propose a solution. While it's not a particularly polished design, I think there is a solid information architecture, it's user friendly and it scales if you need to add more menu options.
Information Architecture is the most enjoyable course at BCIT. We learn to navigate and organize information, metadata, and web search optimization. We are studying for a quiz in the course.
