Artist statement: Infinity is a site specific sculpture that explores our relationship to the world around us. Designed using a single piece of stainless steel plate, the work explores the geometries our bodies share with nature, concepts of circularity and balance, and using light and reflection as sculptural materials.
A fantastic display on "Bonfire Night" at the Infinity Bridge in Stockton on Tees. My many previous attempts at firework shots have been disappointing, so I was thrilled to get a few decent images on this visit. A slight breeze spoiled the reflections but it was very nice.

The next stop on our Bali trip in 2019 after Nusa Dua was in Ubud staying at the Padma.
Situated at the top of a valley it featured a wonderful infinity pool. I managed to time this photo in between the times when the pool was full of swimmers disturbing the water and was able to capture the still water and lovely reflections.
"If people sat outside and looked at the stars each night, I bet they'd live a lot differently. When you look into infinity you realize that there are more important things than what people do all day." - Calvin and Hobbes. Maybe what the world needs right now is to take some advice from a cartoon 6-year-old and his stuffed tiger.

Parallel lines in the Cotswolds Lavender fields reaching over the horizon.
Grass is grown between the lavender to reduce soil erosion, but it also makes a brilliant contrast of colours!
The lavender has now been cropped and the fields will not be open again until next June.

This is an 84 shot panorama of the Milky Way above North Dandalup Dam in Western Australia. The image covers approximately 200 degrees of the night sky, stretching from just past east on the left side to west on the right. The two prominent sources of light pollution are from Pinjarra, a small town to the south west and a nearby mining operation to the south east. It's interesting to see the different colours of light pollution - orange from sodium street lights in Pinjarra and blue from the LED lighting at the mine site. I'm not sure if this is a result of the Hoya filter I used but I kind of like the two tone effect on the panorama as a whole.
Anyway, prominent as always are the Large and Small Magellanic Clouds just above Pinjarra. The filter is good for highlighting H-Alpha nebula such as the Carina Nebula, seen here almost directly above the LMC.
I don't normally give my photos creative titles but I couldn't help myself with this one, the inspiration coming from the road that appears to go into infinity and, uh...beyond I guess!
When I first got my hands on a DSLR one of the first pictures I took that I really liked was of this Bridge. Yesterday I bought a new Camera and so I thought I would revisit an old friend.

Amsterdam - Amstelveenseweg.
Infinity is the name of an office building at the business district Zuidas of Amsterdam. It is nicknamed the shoe or the dustbuster (Dutch: de kruimeldief). The postmodern design is by Amsterdam-based architects Meyer and Van Schooten. The construction took place from November 1999 to September 2002.
The building is constructed like a table on 16 angled steel legs (Wp).
