To sevens together

Like time indefinite

Try to catch the glass

Before it falls

Without a frown

Can you turn up the stereo?

I want to play you this old song

It's about love

Can I do that?

Did we remember to water the plants today?

I forgot to look up at the moon because

I was too busy

I was too busy looking at you, baby

“Located on Arrowsic Island in Maine, Squirrel Point Light is one of four navigational aids dating back to 1895 along the Kennebec River's 11 mile stretch between the Atlantic Ocean and Bath, Maine. The U.S. Coast Guard, which owns the property, has granted the Citizens for Squirrel Point an "indefinite license to provide access to the site for the benefit of the public and maritime industry (and) all purposes consistent with the repair, maintenance and historic restoration of the facility." This was another of the lighthouses that we saw on a cruise on the Kennebec River.

As you may already know, the famous Mary's Bridge, which is a must for the best view of Neuschwanstein Castle, has been closed for quite some time now for an indefinite period. During our visit, the weather was working against us as well so the castle was nowhere to be seen for most of our stay. OK, we were rewarded with an amazing double rainbow at one point but never managed to see the castle up close and personal.

Nevertheless, on the last day of our visit, we decided to go all the way up to the castle by shuttle bus since we had nothing better to do anyway. When we got off the bus, everyone immediately headed towards the castle so we decided to stay behind and look around for a while until the crowd cleared a bit. We could hear the loud roar of water ahead of us and decided to find out where it was coming from. It soon became clear that if we were to see anything, we would need to climb down a rather steep and potentially very dangerous gorge. Still having nothing better to do, we decided to go for it. After some 20 minutes of rolling rather than climbing down through thick vegetation, we got to the the level of the bed of the gorge and then followed the river for a couple of minutes until suddenly the castle popped up before our eyes in all its glory, with the Mary's Bridge right above our heads. He who dares, wins. :-) At the same time, the weather started clearing up and the first sunshine in days bathed the castle just long enough for me to take some photos.

Enjoy the view from below the bridge. 

We can express our feelings regarding the world around us either by poetic or by descriptive means. I prefer to express myself metaphorically. Let me stress: metaphorically, not symbolically. A symbol contains within itself a definite meaning, certain intellectual formula, while metaphor is an image. An image possessing the same distinguishing features as the world it represents. An image — as opposed to a symbol — is indefinite in meaning. One cannot speak of the infinite world by applying tools that are definite and finite. We can analyse the formula that constitutes a symbol, while metaphor is a being-within-itself, it's a monomial. It falls apart at any attempt of touching it.

Since the sun has set below the horizon the quality and colour of light is changing quickly. Very soon the greys will be overtaken by the blues.

William Charles Piguenit (1836-1914), the first Tasmanian born artist of note, would have loved this scene. He wouldn't have had the time to commit it to canvas, and although he used the camera, the exposure would have been in minutes and there was no colour.

Once again my title comes from a beautiful quote by Piguenit which could easily be applied to this scene:

"There are numberless times when we look at the landscape when it is almost impossible to say what the colours are that one uses. Nature blends them with such marvelous beauty and indefiniteness that it is hard to say where one colour begins and the other ends."

The Red-tailedTropicbird is aptly named for its greatly elongated tail streamers, which are boldly coloured red and can measure up to 35 centimetres in length.

The tropicbirds can remain at sea for an indefinite time.

The red-tailed tropicbird feeds largely on flying fish and squid.

I am grateful for what I am and have.

My thanksgiving is perpetual...

O how I laugh when I think of my vague indefinite riches.

No run on my bank can drain it

for my wealth is not possession but enjoyment.

Day 7: From Reykjavik to Stykkishólmur...

We departed from the capital under the rain.... and it accompanied us all the day... one of the targets of the day was cross the highly difficult road of the Snaefellsjoekull National Park, famous for the writer Jules Verne in your novel "Journey to the Center of the Earth", after a attempt we renounced, because the low clouds (they not let see us more than one meter ahead), we continued about the coastal road, sorrounding the Snaefell peninsule. The weather of Iceland order our destinity again!

Have a peaceful day!

""Good morning ;-)), I am on my way to my new place, where I will spend the winter.

Marjan asked to tell you that she is also going to move and will therefore be absent for indefinite time. A relocation always involves a lot of work, time and energy, but she will definitely come back, she promised me. And if it is not too busy, with all those other things, she will come to visit us ;-)

Well, I've done my job and I'm going to my bed"", says the little hedgehog ;-))

Spaso-Preobrazhensʹkyy Cathedral, Pryluky, Chernihiv region, Ukraine.

Currently closed for an indefinite period of time ...

Long exposure of the grimy water flowing out of the Ballard Locks in Seattle. Awesome place to shoot.

We stopped here on the way to the airport on the way home. I loved Seattle and the rest of Washington. Can't wait to go back this summer.

Inspired by a fantastic book " A Briefer History of Time" by Stephen Hawking , I decided to go crazy with a photo & graphics:-))

This one is a a few years old but dug it out to tidy it up, didn't like it when I took it but despite not being crisp it warrants a view.

Dear Flickr friends,

This is not about the photo....I don't care about the photo.

This is to let you know that I am in Az with my son. After a time of tests and biopsies, we were told 2 days ago that he has cancer.

We are now in process of getting him into Dana Farber after researching different treament centers.

I have good friends in Boston so we have a place to stay.

I will be off Flickr for an indefinite period of time. I will check messages.

If you would, please keep him in your thoughts.

And be well.

I wanted publicly announce that I will be taking an indefinite hiatus from blogging. I've decided to go back to school and I need to give it 100% of my attention. Thank you so much for all of your support over the last 4 years, it means so much to me! <3

Indefinite spaces S, 1963, Francisco Sobrino.

Sobrino left Spain for Buenos Aires in 1949, where he came into contact with the artists of the group Arte Concreto-Invención. He then moved to Paris in 1958, where he became one of the founding members of the Groupe de Recherche d’Art Visuel (GRAV) in 1960. This is also when he started making sculptures out of simple geometric forms, cut from tinted transparent plastic sheets and arranged in regular structures. The effects of combination and layering deliberately make it difficult to determine the position of each shape in space and in relation to each other.

Until a few years ago it was known more than anything else by fans of outdoor activities, such as trekking and cycling, due to the many paths that reach the lake and the area's cycle paths, and by ice skaters. If in summer it is a transparent mirror of water, in fact, in winter the lake is covered with a thick blanket of ice on which you can skate. For South Tyroleans it is a bucolic, fairytale-like place, a small corner of paradise.

Lost paradise.

Yes, because today, instead of hikers, buses of screaming tourists disembark who, in an indefinite number, flock to the shores of Lake Braies to take selfies, to queue to rent a wooden boat, to try to take the tour of the lake with stiletto heels...

This delightful mountain lake was hit by the phenomenon of overtoursim, a tourism that has now become uncontrollable. In short, the famous Lake Braies is bursting with tourists.

I am grateful for what I am and have. My thanksgiving is perpetual…O how I laugh when I think of my vague indefinite riches. No run on my bank can drain it, for my wealth is not possession but enjoyment.

Parole bagnate

da fredde lacrime

scivolano giù

come foglie

che in autunno

cadono dagli alberi

sopra il vetro

ricoperto d'acqua

mentre il paesaggio

perde i suoi contorni

diventando indefinito

in un gioco

tra il pianto

e la pioggia 🍁🍂🍃

Wet words

from cold tears

slide down

like leaves

than in the Autumn

fall from the trees

above the glass

covered with water

while the landscape

loses its contours

becoming indefinite

in a game

between crying

and the rain 🍁🍂🍃

I am currently in a full time business program, and hoping to secure a $5,000 CAD grant for 'Poppy's Petites'.

Poppy's Petites 2.0 plans to relaunch at the end of March @ poppyspetites.etsy.com

The store will have lots more than ever before, and will begin offering optional variations on store items, like hair clip, magnet, pin , etc

I am super swamped but super excited that I have so much going on right now.

As some of you may have noticed, The Most Popular Poppy Picture Contest is currently not running, for an indefinite period.

I'm hoping to have enough time this summer to host a couple!

Also thanks to Yoko*Dolls for Poppy's amazing dress!

Dear sponsors and followers

For the past 2 years I have been blogging almost non-stop.

The past months I had to let some of my sponsors go already because it was too much.

I found out, that unfortunately this has not been enough and that I need a break.

Therefore, I hope for your understanding that I will have a blog-stop for indefinite time.

My thanks for all who trusted in me to promote their products and my thanks for all who supported me in doing so. I really appreciate it ♥

Art unbestimmt/ Kind of indefinite

Second skin sewn from verses for melancholy, she is the owner of silences that are kept as treasures so as not to break the sincere words.

There are dreamers whispering while they delight without waking up at dawn, sleeping on the hidden side of the Moon, with their bare feet to leave a mark on the way back.

There are closenesses beyond time, what was known was forgotten in some conquered life and the now, indefinite, blurs with a sigh carried by the wind.

There are candles that are exhausted and their warm light still has a memory in the pupils... if you close your eyes, a single tear, intimate, shy, embraces the flame. Life is conquered by moments.

Moon.

”-Bine, atunci noi cine suntem?” te întreb eu.

Apropo, știi ce culoare are destinul?

Are culoarea sunetului unei frunze ce cade dinspre infinitul cerului spre adâncul pământului.

"L'incertitude absolue ...", tu me réponds.

Cela me fait taire.

Et devenir ta couleur indéfinie.

D'un autre monde. Et d'un autre siècle...

Every day we play with colors.

You are my color

A kind of purple. A color between and between.

Where the rainbow ends and the questions begin.

Questions without answers...

And I am your color.

A kind of yellow.

A yellow of silences, sadnesses and uncertainties of which the world is born.

And you smile. And tell me that the world is not born yet. Or it died a long time ago. You are not too sure.

"Well, but who are we?" I ask you.

"The absolute uncertainty...", you answer me.

And, then, I lose myself in the absolute.

It's an absolute that I never wanted.

But it's the only one that let me touch it.

And then you hide in my thoughts.

And I hide my thoughts at the edge of the world.

A world that has been dead for a long time. Or, that is not born yet.

But which is tearing us apart. And then it eats us.

By the way, do you know what color has destiny?

It has the color of the sound of a leaf falling from the infinite of the sky to the depths of the earth.

Where destiny becomes a shirt.

A glowing and eternal shirt. Too glowing and too eternal, perhaps.

We will never know what color this shirt has.

It's too dark around...

And I feel like I still have something to say to you.

But I forgot. It's good that I forgot.

That makes me shut up.

And become your indefinite color.

From another world. And from another century...
