Sub: JNU admiuistt·ation's inaction against ABVP's open violence and hate campaign .

In the wake of the barbari b rnb bla ts in Delhi on 13 Sept. all the organizations in th campus have condemned the incident in unequivocal term . .

They aLo demanded that the government ensure all manner of care and support to the victims of this attack. They further emphasized that in lead of targeting and wit h-hunting innocent people belo11ging to the minority community, the focus should be on ensuring that that tate and central government dcci i ely deal w ith such heinous acts and adequate mea ure arc taken so that innocent people arc not the repeatedly made victims of such stri kes. .

However, in total disregard r the gra ity and son itivity of the situation, the A I3V P ha rushed to use this tragic sit.untion to further their sini tcr po litics of hate. In a lcatlet, issued on l 4.9.08 they have engaged in the wholesale tct·cotyping and ab use of the Muslim community, the inteution being to fan hat.·ed and mistr·us t. Crossing all norms of decency, rationality and sensitivity, the ABVP lea flet goe on to vilify the M uslim community and demonize Islam t the extent of u ing imagery of an fflur celebrated with the blood of "kcifirs". This i a direct and communally motivated targeting ofthe community (the copy of this leaflet is att::H.:hcd). .

The J\ BVP has repeatedly and ystematically abused the democratic pace on the JN campus. The campus has not rorgotten how earlier also in the month or Ramznan they sy tematically cl1 se this period lor attacking a research .eholar belonging to the min rity c mmunity and spreading contmunal frenzy. .

Color photograph showing a scene from the one-day interfaith Holocaust awareness conference themed "Christians and Jews: Inaction or In Action," held at the First Baptist Church, Salem, Mass. in November 1985, and co-sponsored by the Church and the Holocaust Center of the North Shore Jewish Federation.

In this scene, the attendees are pictured looking toward speaker Rev. Frank Eiklor. "The time has come for not only tears over the past, but action for the future," said Frank Eiklor, local broadcaster for the Shalom Fellowship, Salem. "We as Christians will not tolerate antisemitism — Antisemitism is not a Jewish problem... An attack on the Jews is an attack on us. Should the need arise," explained Eiklor, "it will no longer be ignored and faced alone by the Jesih community. We will tell the media that we are indeed our brother's keeper" ("The Suburban News," November 23, 1985, p. 16).

The photo was printed in November 1985 according to its back, and the event was reported by "The Suburban News" on Nov. 23, the "Jewish Journal" on November 21, and the Lynn "Item" on November 8, 1985.

I feel sentimental with my present camera, but I am thinking of upgrading. It is a Canon 20D and still works well, and I have the opportunity to trade it in for a Canon 40D. I may want to wait as this trade up opportunity will still be in effect even after the next Canon camera comes out. I am now at that debate. Should I now or should I wait?

Focus instead on the story of success that will come from your actions! It’s a much better story!

People love coming up with reasons as to why they become stuck. It’s so easy to do. The result is that they miss out on the future because they are chained to the past, and don’t make the effort to break the shackles that tie them down. They refuse to pursue change because it involves just ‘so much work.’ Today I’m with a group that is involved in the home renovation / construction industry. The world of smart home technology is taking their skills and business model into uncharted territory. Many of them are fearful of the change, worried about its impact, and unsure of where to start. And so many of them will take the most natural of all human decisions - avoid it by not making a decision at all. Do nothing. Worry about it later.

And yet their industry is in the midst of massive, sweeping change, and a good number of them probably won’t be in business in 5-10 years. Inaction can kill.

Excuses are probably the worst form of failure, because you can avoid making them simply by doing what you need to do! Which is - do something! At least *start* taking action!

Excuses offer an easy way out in the short term, but in the long term, doom you to a series of failures, each one worst then the last.

Excuses provide you with a pathway for failure, when you need a highway for success.
