KONICA MINOLTA DIGITAL CAMERA
After a few years of inaction, I installed a new Li-ion NP-400 battery in my 2005 Konica Minolta DSLR Dynax 5D to replace the dead original one, and I did a small series of pictures with the two KM zoom lenses to re-evaluate the small Sony 6 MP CCD (still not a CMOS) sensor and optics.
The KM Dynax 5D was the latest DSLR body released by Konica Minolta before to be sold to SONY Corp.

The Ravages of Time and Inaction
When I first became aware of this old Meetinghouse in 1978, it was still intact and occasionally opened for visiting. I recall that the interior paneling was beautiful, polished wood. The brush had not grown so high them.
While the building was still intact, I was unable to see it at first glance during nights of the full moon, for reasons I do not understand. I believe it may have been a side effect of a preservation spell which protected the structure for a finite span of years. When the spell expired, the Meetinghouse deteriorated quite rapidly, and was again visible by the full moon.
The cupola collapsed about seven years ago, and the roof caved in about four years ago.

On Saturday August 13, I offered an Introduction to KAP Workshop at the Don Edwards Wildlife Refuge’s Environmental Education Center in Alviso. The center runs an interesting set of events, without charge, for the public. I always enjoy my time out there. On this particular Saturday there was a morning workshop on microbiology (Dr. Wayne Lanier at the Weep), my photographic session, and a nighttime star gazing event.
This iteration of the KAP talk seemed to go fine. Better yet there was wind at the end of the talk so that I could offer a live demonstration of KAP inaction. This photo set contains images of the group as I launched the gear and aerial images of New Chicago Marsh taken after the workshop.
