Kennington Park Saturday 16th April: a protest against the claimed inaction of UNICEF and the Ugandan Government in failing to protect the Kilak children of Acholiland, Northern Uganda where up to 50,000 children are at said to be at risk from the civil conflict. 12,000 are said to have been abducted by the Conflict Agence whilst thousands live in camps in inhuman conditions.

Kennington Park was a common that was enclosed after the great Chartist rally of 10th April 1848. It was used again for political gatherings in the Eighties and Nineties but has now entered a reactionary period of intenisfied control again.

5 year old Clara is running with all her strength to jump over the baby pool. I followed her further with the camera, but too many people, mainly other kids, came between me and the girl. So, unfortunately I didn't capture her actually jumping.
