Thanks a lot to all of those that responded to my previous image of the White-eyes. Here is my response to that.
This was taken late yesterday afternoon, after I had posted that image to flickr. I went out birding for the last time with Kaz and his group, this time in search of flycatchers. It was the first time all year that I had not seen a new bird on one of his trips, but to make up for it, we had fantastic photographic opportunities at a birdbath that was situated at the top of the mountain and serviced by White-eyes, Great Tits, Narcissus Flycatchers and Grey-streaked Flycatchers. Even an Eyebrowed Thrush stopped by but did not stay for long.
This image for me does everything that the previous image didn't. Again, let me know what you think, but the two birds, one in a 'perfect post' and one in a very dramatic pose combined together in the same photograph just make this one a LOT more interesting to me than the previous one.
You can't rely on many things in life. You should be able rely on an ATM.
Lately I'm not so sure. Exhibit A, crashed ATM in the lobby at work today. We had a power outage over the long weekend so the building power systems could be maintained.
When the power came back the ATM didn't.
Last week I went to the ATM at 7-11 around the corner from work. Free for members of my credit union. I asked for $80 and got $20. Today the 7-11 ATM has a sign that says it works, but not to request more than $40 because the cash dispenser sticks.
What wondeful choices: broken ATM, no lunch money; or lunch money lottery at the sticky ATM.
If you can't rely on an ATM, what can you rely on?
(The credit union did get me back my $60 last week.)

Hopefully I will get to see the picture my brother Paul took of Jessie....sometime in this lifetime. If he can ever get through his thousands and thousands of vacation pics first. :P
*Message to Paul...it's Flickr dude! Pics can be out of order. Last I heard, you dont't have OCD.

Though facts are important for action, sometimes waiting leads to inaction and instills in me a sense of helplessness; inherent in this "waiting" is the existence of something completely out of my control, a to be told truth that dictates the form of my future action.
