.... a heavy numbness seized her limbs, thin bark closed over her breast, her hair turned into leaves, her arms into branches, her feet so swift a moment ago, stuck fast in slow-growing roots, her face was lost in the canopy. Only her shining beauty was left.

Custom Heather Sky, in progress for *chacha*. The above quote refers to some of the greek mythology of Daphne, on which Cagla based the concept for her girl.

I might need to rip this out due to lack of contrast, not sure yet.

A pancake costume under construction. The butter pat is a painted small pizza box. The pancakes are cut from 1/2" styrofoam insulation, to overflow an 18" serving platter. A little paint, a little glue, a little tasty epoxy syrup... they'll be good enough to eat.

Just figuring out the proportions

The changing station migrated to the other side of the room.

I bought Sox at PUDDLE 2011 so she has a soft spot for anything PUDDLE and she's telling me I have to finish this contest entry since they extended to May 5!

My first socks! (Okay, well, there was one aborted attempt earlier, but I'm trying to forget that.) I'm knitting these as part of a class at The Studio - the yarn is merino wool from www.helloyarn.com in Jamaican Blue Mountain. The skein has 395 yards. I'm at 6" on the cuff of the sock now and I'm trying to decide how long I can make them without risking running out of yarn when I get to the toes.

Green Screen suits are surprisingly close to being 1 size fits all. A toddler fit into this suit earlier in the residency!

work in progress - just freshly primed before his paint job. CD case for scale.

This is the newest revamp of my Nightmare claw (before the skin goes on) shown actually on my arm so you can get a better idea of how this works. The structure here was built up with small pieces of foam, making it much lighter than previous versions. There is a space on the palm that will be covered with stretch fabric (like the older versions) so that I can still hold onto Soul Edge. Each finger does also have a knuckle that pivots to allow for a little bit more animation.

(Er...and I'm wearing an ugly tyran Starscream shirt, yes. Don't judge me...too much.)

Part of an ongoing commission for a dozen or so mini mirror frames. I’ve been having fun playing with different router bits to create interesting profiles in a variety of woods.

Still some small bits of work and touch ups needed, but I needed to take a break, so thought I'd see if there was any constructive criticism I could get from you fine folks!

In hindsight, got kind of an old school FAL look to the outline.

Engines for a space ship. Looks like something from an anime series.

I have absolutely no idea how to complete it.

Yes, I was taking my DSII apart while building this.

I've made 4 of these so far and I have many more fabric pieces cut but not sewn together yet. Thank you, everyone, for helping me decide on the teal background, and I'm gonna use the solid yellow for the centers. I'm embroidering them now so that they don't look too boring.

I plan to make 9 plates and sew them onto 14" squares of teal for a 3x3 layout (maybe make more for a 3x4 layout if I'm ambitious?)

I was on a roll... then I ran out of white thread >_<
