I tried to make a border like this tutorial but as I started, I found that it would take me forever to make so many pieces so I flipped the pieces lengthwise to make this border that looks like marque arrows going clockwise around the center which I kinda like :)

It's harder to photograph now that it's 36" square and bigger than the width of my coffee table so that's why it looks wonky :(

36 fabrics used, about 36" square, 2.5" wide border.

Blogged at free-falling.

Green Screen suits are surprisingly close to being 1 size fits all. A toddler fit into this suit earlier in the residency!

Half-square triangles improv quilt top

My swollen arm! The upper and lower tattoos were placed in spots that go with the curve of my arm. The background will tie everything together and will make it appear more symmetrical. Background and color happen next month.

Ugly old trophy. Note the faux-wood contact paper. Classy.

The first few fish for the blanket. My ravelry page here.

I'm using this modification of the Knitter's magazine pattern.

(There's an error in the livejournal pattern -- I made a different correction, but the accepted one seems to be here.)

I'm not sure if I like the extra green side stripe on the panel or not...kinda just looks like a ribbon...? I tihnk I'm gonna remove it and try something else...

Riku's keyblade in-progress...for some reason, I painted the white foamie feathers grey before repainting them white...I just like crazy amounts of texturing, okay? XD I never said I was efficient or sensible.

textures by Jenny, helenina stock and Boreanlz; thank you for sharing:)

My recently work :In progress Kelly 2009

He's going to my office.

Pablo is checking the crib sheets for us.

the thumb actually has a proper angle on this version (which was one of the things I really loathed about the first claw...the thumb was literally just tacked on as an afterthought)

session 1 on bomber's raven. first spoke about this months ago. nice to finally get it started.

I'm out of yarn (goa) for this right now, so it's on hold until my order comes in.

It's for Eric and Beth's babygirl, Tigerlily. The theme is the Japanese flag, though the blanket will be round, alas, not rectangular.

Started I think in June and it now covers about half my bed :)

VillAge 2 - VillAge InProgress

design / photography / edit by HuangFeiLung

VillAge is an experimental fashion research and design project based on the studies of Taiwanese village wears and documentaries that HuangFeiLung has been collecting over the years. In Taiwan like most modern countries, city people look down on the ones who dress or act like coming from countryside. It’s just about hatred in the bias of fashion world. The “images” they are wearing represent their background and personality which contain so many unique trends and forms that we should not feel shame about. I, living in Taiwan feel obligated to restore and reform my image of village wears that belong here. Furthermore, VillAge project is actually trying reinterpret these forgotten Taiwanese styles and cultural wears using modern fusion and imagination to create a new statement of Taiwanese old time fashion. By doing so, HuangFeiLung apply 2D Photoshop technique such as deforming, distorting, copy and paste and dramatic scaling on 3D cloth layout giving a unpredictable and strange mood, yet a façade of simplicity hidden beneath a chaotic surface. Visual paradox and off the trends are the core concepts in VillAge project.

VillAge 2 – InProgress is the second issue of the VillAge concept. In InProgress eddtion, HuangFeiLung continue the 2009 Trucker & VillAge hat design collection that found in the first issue and , this time, represent the designs with a series of completed look of VillAge with more details and accessories such as Table Cloth Jacket, Pin Bag, UV Clutch, and Net Sleeves.

Without paint, this looks pretty creepy!

Maybe 10% done over all. Just the ship spine/truss and some hull panels.

I've been sketching versions of this for about 2 years. It's nice to get it built finally.
