Started this like...before I lived with Saeru. That's like almost 2 years? (Not like I don't have even older projects than that. XD ) Anyway, here's a shot of the interesting bit, and what the fabric looked like pre-painting, but post-quilting.
This would have been a lot quicker to have actually just made this out of black foam to begin with. XP

It's summer here but I am in full knitting mode. This is a cushion that I have been meaning to make for ages.

working on migrating some of my painting/collage sketches into print world... also playing with linocuts for the first time in ages, inspired by another artist I know who has been doing a lot of them of late. So far, I am loving the simplification and additional texture these new prints have. This is turning into an interesting experiment.
I'm managing to make some really accurately shaped (to the toy) pseudo-spikes. Kinda wasn't expecting foamies to work for this, actually.

first layers of painting on the now attached foam layers, trying to mimic the watercolors of the original illustration
proof that I was working on -something- when up in Canada. I remade Lloyd completely. Again. Here's the belt made of "elephant skin" that was also the appliqué and sides for his tunic, with over-sized suede piping...all of this will be painted and glossed to match the belt circle and cape armor afterwards.

Tarot card is the Wheel of Fortune from the Shadowscapes deck. It's a very significant card for me. My colors won't be identical to the card as yellow won't show up too well on my olive skin.
