Probably need to look at the big version to see everything. Some examples of parametrically driven patterns. On the right is a view into the 'code' (what do you call this spaghetti?) that drives it.
Here's my KM custom with the first 2 or 3 coats of purple paint on him. This paint is very thin and takes several coats to build up a nice smooth opaque look (it took like 10 coats), so that's why it looks a bit "patchy" right now. I left parts of him white because they will be painted different colours. You can see my design + colour key sketch in the background. ;)

I hand sew the tiny collars for the dresses, and choose which buttons will suit the white-haired girl best.
I stress the importance of iteration and flexibility when developing design work. An idea often grows stronger when it is studied in many ways and approached from many directions.
We're restricting the presentation graphics for this project to line drawings and make2d-style simply shaded axos, but I took a break to see what this building looks like with more drama. Better have a high-gamma screen....

...results of my first upholstery class. The mysteries of webbing and padding have been revealed to me! I gathered the corners instead of pleating them. This practice piece will be a little cushy animal bed. We cover it with real fabric next week...my teacher is fantastic.
