I take a lot of photos and sometimes I find something and I just can't remember where or when it happened.
A little friend for my black eyed girl.
She started with glasses, but i smudged them beyond saving so..voila! dress up mask. I know they are over-done these days, but i am still pleased with my rescue.

This feels like my first self portrait in months! (and thinking about it it probably is). After shooting this I realised how much I missed taking them so hopefully I'll be getting back into them more now. I've been thinking about starting up some sort of project soon too so watch this space!
Fun fact: mice were always my favourite animal when I was younger :)

Harold typically wore a white sheet with a black cowboy hat and under the sheet he had jeans, light brown chaps and cowboy boots. Harold also sported a shiny purple facemask over his sheet. One year I went to my own Halloween party as Harold but had to take off my sheet to bob for apples. Great memories.

Stormtrooper Bruce prides himself on being a high octane kind of guy but sometimes keeping up with the Emperor’s nephew is like a 24/7 non-stop, action filled, transporter wreck, sugar high. He’s not even sure what that means but it can drain your energy, your body, your soul and your mind if you let it. And this morning STB is feeling drained.
STB: Sorry, 007, change of plans. Today were playing Pretend. As in pretend the ship has been invaded with scary monsters so we can’t leave the room. And we have to be quiet and use our inside voice so the monsters won’t find us and eat us.
007: Oh, cool! I get it. In that case, I have an announcement to make. I am now going to be Ripley. And don’t worry Unka D, I’ll keep you safe.
STB: Oh, well... that went better than expected! Then I’ll finish reading the paper to see if there’s any news about the monsters.
Ripley: OK. I’ll just discuss an escape plan with the crew here.
STB: Finish your breakfast. You can watch cartoons for the rest of the day if you want to.
Ripley: Cool beans! Kane, Parker and Dallas want to know if they can have a donut?
STB: Yeah, sure. Whatever.
Ripley: If we’re extra quiet, will you read to us? We’d really like you to read book three again. We want to know what happens to Scabbers?
STB: Yeah, sure. Whatever.
Ripley: You see Dallas, I told you he’d read to us. He’s the bestest Unka ever.
STB: Huh? We're not even 10 minutes into lockdown and you already have imaginary friends? That was fast!
Ripley: They’re not pretend. They’re real! I told you about them the other day.
STB: Oh, um... OK, but last night they were Winkin, Blinkin, and Nod. And before that they were Rick, Carl and Michonne. But that’s OK, it’s the little things that make life more interesting. So you can have your little pretend friends, and I’ll have another cup of coffee.
Ripley: Dallas says he wants a cup of coffee, too.

"You can see her?!?"
When Nard and I went to look for his glasses one of the sales clerks was speaking mainly to Nard when sales clerk turned to me to ask a question. As we were leaving the store, Nard was telling me that he wished he had yelled "You can see her?!?" When the clerk started to talk to me.
After a fit of laughter, I thought up this idea for a photo.
So am I real, or am I a figment of Nard's imagination?

Not entirely happy with the way this turned out but it was pretty close to my original goal so I'm going with it.

I dreamed I had two brothers, Xiaoping and Xanthus. Xaioping only spoke Chinese, so I could not understand what he was saying.
I finished this little canvas (13cm x 18cm) yesterday. Acrylics and marker.
I’m pretty satisfied with how it turned out; I like to think that I’m getting better at this ;)
Next up will be a bigger canvas.

I was pleased with this, but disappointed that the mirror looks pasted in. It's not -- just the reflection. I guess it looks flat because I used the flash?
Anyway, when I was a kid, I did have imaginary friends. Two of them. And they were chipmunks. Seriously. :)
Two super tiny 6,5cm x 6,5cm canvases (posca marker and sharpie).
I made these while listening to some Russian drum & bass. And you got to love drum & bass music. It’s funny how one track can fulfill you with happiness that reaches all the way down to your bones and the next track just makes you want to take your shirt off and punch somebody in the mouth. It’s awesome ;)
