Because that's how I roll.

This is an emulsion lift from a Fuji100C instant film. This emulsion is soaked in boiling water for a short time until it lifts from the backing paper and then carefully slid onto the canvas, and using PVA glue to set in place.

This is an image transfer from a Fuji100C instant film peel apart kind.
Transfered onto watercolour paper.
This 140 lb. water color paper advertises its unique texture as contributing timeless appeal to your work. I don't know about that but it does have a texture resembling split rock, probably not the best choice for an image transfer.

So I have been experimenting with image transfers. I realized I could transfer on to felt and since I had this jeasus felt applique hanging around (I could never get the face right) I decided to test the image transfer on this project. I touched it up with some paint and then decoupaged to seal the top coat. I think I'm liking this technique alot.
