The geotag is approximate. This is somewhere in Boerne in 1980.

I did a number of Polaroid transfers around 2004 - 2006, and recently happened to look in the box where these were stored.

These polaroid transfers were done by peeling the negative from the paper early and pressing it onto watercolor paper to transfer the image. (not the same as an emulsion transfer) As far as I know there's no peel-apart instant film available today to accomplish this.

Madrid is a mining ghost town, now popular with tourists.

Maybe this truck is still there??

I close my eyes, then I drift away

Into the magic night. I softly say

A silent prayer like dreamers do.

Then I fall asleep to dream my dreams of you.

In dreams I walk with you. in dreams I talk to you.

In dreams you're mine. all of the time were together

In dreams, in dreams.

I took this shot with an old Polaroid Colorpack II and Polaroid 669 packfilm.

I did the transfer right there on the rocks.

My first attempt at polaroid transfers. My old polaroid camera uses peel-apart film which allows you to seperate the negative from the print before it's had time to develop. You can then develop the image elsewhere by pressing the negative onto an alternative damp surface - usually water colour paper. It involves working quite fast, sloshing around with lots of water and a good mastery of technique. So, inevitably my first attempt is a bit messy but I think it's very pretty.

The image on the left is the original and the one on the right has been retouched with coloured pencils. I'm not sure which I prefer.

Another find from my polaroid transfer period.

This is in Big Bend Park, but I haven"t geotagged it as I can't remember the location. (I do well these days to remember where I put my car keys.)
