Vintage engraving image transfer onto 8x10 prepped canvas.
The detail on this vintage engraving is incredible, I could stare at this guy for hours.
For Flickr Artist Trading Cards group "Image Transfer" swap. This is a packing tape transfer with layers of paper. The starburst on the right is from a magazine ad (I think for vodka...loved that bold dark/light combination. Also used some swirly art paper, vellum and a word from a sticker sheet.
One interesting thing about these transfers is how each can turn out with different wrinkles, crinkles, fading, grainy texture, etc. They definitely have a used/vintage feel and I think that it worked really well with these "star struck" images.
For a Vintage Image Transfer swap at ATCsforall.com. This includes a packing tape transfer using a picture from a magazine, a butterfly from an antique encyclopedia, text from a vintage reproduction catalogue, scrapbook paper, vellum, some commercial stickers (the stamp and stars) and ink.
Washing the horses at Appleby Horse Fair.
Shot on a Canon 30D, then printed to Polaroid 679 film via a Digital Palette CI 5000s and transferred to Moleskine water colour-paper - Scanned back to PS and converted to B&W.
image transfer onto patterned fabric - this fabric was a bit too dark but the transfer itself turned out well
Polaroid image transfers on a t-shirt. Type 669 film. This is the beginning of what I submitted to the t-shirt show. I had trouble w/ the emulsion running so I ended up cutting the images out of this t-shirt and sewing them onto a clean shirt. It turned out pretty well. I don't have a picture of the final shirt. Obviously to do image transfers on to fabric, it is best to do them dry, but I didn't quite get that process done before the show.
