This was the first part of creating this painting. I transffered the image using graphite paper onto watercolor paper. Tedious, but well worth it. I have and am recording all the steps along the way, so we can all teach and learn together.

I love this zebra background. It's the best pattern I've seen yet. I paired it with a brilliant red poppy, a vintage book illustration, and it really pops! It is a double image transfer onto Pearl Premo clay.

After digitally recoloring and manipulating the images and printing them, I applied them directly to polymer, and cut them into strips and rectangles for the box, and heart shapes for the necklace and earrings. The strips were applied to a box from the Goodwill that was painted black. The hearts became the focal and matching beads for the jewelry set, combined with antiqued brass chain, wire, and Czech glass beads.

Created for the PCAGOE Image Transfer challenge, September 2010 with the "Gothic" digital image sheet from Piddix at Etsy.

I am fascinated with the concept of bunting - it flies in the breeze, entices one to look up and lift the gaze heavenward, and is cheerful and innocuous.

I wanted to expand on the idea, giving voice to a series of narrative slow stitch pieces I was working on. Hanging them as bunting works especially well as the subject relates to a childhood time.

I was just beginning school, in my new school uniform and so much was going on around me that was change, chaos and unhappiness. It was the 60's and I felt asllof it, even though no one was saying anything in my family.

Hence the words by Robert Frost:

We dance around in a ring and suppose, but the secret sits in the middle an knows.

Experimenting with transfer, the heat of the iron lifted the acrylic undercoat, but I kinda like what happened, anyway.

Image transfer onto a base of Pearl Premo layered over Cadmium Red Premo clay. The Pearl clay was embedded with Ranger Distress Weathered Wood and Antique Linen embossing powders.

I stamped all over the acetate and then inked on the back of it with Tim Holtz alcohol inks in gold and rust colours, to match the rest of the page. I love how the fabric can still be seen through it tho - love the texture!

The polymer clay pendant was created by me, Lynda Moseley, using a multi-layer image transfer technique I developed. I transferred the image to a variagated base of blended clays to which I added embossing powder for texture and depth.

I enhanced the pendant with Fire Agate rondelles, Artistic Jasper rounds, 5mm Brecciated Jasper rondelles and DZI-style carved Tibetan agate barrels with pictographs; Thai silver spacer beads. It is finished with a large gunmetal toggle clasp.

Image transfer onto a skinner blend of pewter and bronze Premo treated with Ranger Copper and Mushroom embossing powders. The image transfer is a butterfly collage. I embossed neck around the stopper with the Chantilly Lace Studio texture sheet and dusted it and the stopper with more of the Copper embossing powder. The embossing powder creates a nice, speckled finish which adds to the ancient look and feel. The bottle measures just under 4" tall and a little over 2 1/2" wide at its widest point.
