"Fat Man" was the codename for the atomic bomb that was detonated over Nagasaki, Japan, by the United States on August 9, 1945. Drones used for remote assassinations are the latest weapon in the United States' arsenal. Both inspire terror.

This is the first try of a new processing technique, I think the use of selective color in PS helps to bring out some color variations. Not sure I like it yet but I'm learning!

Picachu Peak shot through the drivers side window from the passenger seat two weeks ago. I have zoomed in a bit, and I see a strong facial silhouette at the top of the peak. Is that the lady in the moon? Also resembles the huge statues on Easter Island... I never noticed any of this before...;)
This is my first image that I have processed using Lightroom 5. I am just beginning to learn to use this tool, and I clearly need a book... Any recommendations?

I'm Chic Bee on Facebook or chicbee04. I don't remember which...;)) I don't use it much, but I will use it a lot more as soon as flickr's change goes into effect
The statue from the lawn of the art museum wanted to join our bowling league, and being politically correct we allowed it. She's actually a pretty good bowler, but a little stiff.
Dance Studio Lights at Arizona Ballet Theatre in Tucson, Arizona... There is an excitement and dynamism in these neon lights that is always there for me... Do you think it's because of my early years in Coney island and Manhattan?

A study in noisy compositing. Compositing masks were generated from differences between images before and after color quantization, FFT filtering or JPEG compression. A sorting algorithm generated the background.
...or at least, that's what the image process i found playing around some stuff i've never used in cs3 before says it's called.
reminds me of some poster or magazine ad from japan in the 60's or 70's.
Mashup of TSA list of forbidden items with other technological and natural images, using GlitchSort.
I don't recall seeing this by eye, yet it was clearly visible on the viewing screen of the Nikon Coolpix S6300 camera. And here it is on Flickr...;))
Earthshine is seen illuminating our not quite new moon this last week. My DSLR camera is in the shop for repairs. The eensy weensy tiny little pocketable cameraeeny I have started carrying around was handheld, and the image is highly cropped, so there is image smear, I fear.
I did some image processing using iPhoto which is not a very capable tool for this sort of thing.
I hope to use these images to teach myself Adobe Lightyear...;))
If you know of any good tutorials for this in Lightyear or Photoshop, I will be grateful!!
DSCN0332 - Version 4
An experiment with data loss, recuperation and quantization: high frequencies from the original black and white image were filtered out with a FFT performed at different scales on each color channel in the RGB color space. Then the remaining details were brought back by an FFT tuned to enhance high frequencies. This restored details along with value and color artifacts. The image was quantized with a four-color palette and a median spatial filter (aka a "denoising" filter). All done in GlitchSort.
On the other hand, this is the face of a woman in the Spanish Civil War, and an attempt to make expressive use of algorithmic techniques as tools for making art.
This one is from archives. Also I could not get more of the book in the frame as I was restricted by space to move and also by my camera..I use sony H7.Hope you like it!

A starless 3nm Narrowband Hydrogen-Alpha (Hα) study of the dust and gas in the Tarantula Nebula (NGC 2070), situated in the Large Magellanic Cloud (one of the Milky Way's satellite Galaxies).
The Large Magellanic Cloud (LMC) is one of the irregular satellite dwarf Galaxies of the Milky Way Galaxy, that is among the closest Galaxies to Earth. There is also a Small Magellanic Cloud (SMC), both discovered by Magellan. The Magellanic Clouds are visible from the Southern Hemisphere with the naked eye.
The LMC contains the most active starburst region known in the Local Group of Galaxies. The Local Group comprises more than 54 Galaxies (mostly dwarf Galaxies). The three largest members of the group (in descending order) are the Andromeda Galaxy, the Milky Way Galaxy and the Triangulum Galaxy.

Beautiful wintery scene illuminated by the power of light and color which I am still trying to understand and control in Photoshop.
A future glitch artist?
Color quantization contours were used to generate a mask that served to composite the original image with a severely glitched version.
