Foto manuseada com software específico para arte digital

________

Modified with specific digital art software

While walking down a path, I captured this image leading down the path. It is a photographic image which I digitally painted to achieve the current result.

a Before/After set. Taryn (Tabangel17) is the model, as well as a member of the ever-widening circle of flickr groups. Last night, the gathering was a lighting meetup of the Triangle Strobist group.

The initial image was tweaked in Adobe LightRoom, then a "virtual copy" was made and desaturated with color saturations applied to the shadows and highlights, balanced to taste (still in LightRoom). Then, using the Print module, I "printed" this to a pdf format, opened it in Photoshop CS3 to apply some final noise reduction, before saving it to jpg for flickr upload.

Lighting for the photo was a small softbox, feathered downward, with a diffused flash bouncing light from behind at camera left. The background was the gold-colored cover from a diffusion disc. The disc, itself bounced white light back up under Taryn's face to fill in the shadows.

Possibly contrary to its appearance, this *is* a self-portrait. It is heavily disguised and then made pretty in its own right. The key, if you really want to know which part of my body it is, is in the tags.

I wanted to play a bit with the image and created a few interesting versions of it, some in Corel PaintShop Pro X8 some in Adobe Lightroom. Then put it together in Snap Collage.

Enfosquir una cara

Just having a little fun with PhotoShop. Some years ago we had a couple of branches trimmed off this tree to make it a better shape. In certain lights, the scar where the branch was removed looks like an eye. There is really only one "eye" on our tree, but I've used a little PhotoShop trickery to give it another to make a pair. :)

I'm just an infant when it comes to photography. I mean, guys, I started photographing stuffs just 3-4 days ago. All this time that I've been a Flickr member, I just crawled Flickr streams of photographers who have got the 'real' talent.

While crawling, I came across many 'styles' being used by different photographers. Out of all the styles that I like, HDR is one of my most favorite styles. It's funny that when I had a Nikon D40, I had completely no interest in photography. Now when it's no longer with me, I've fallen in love with photography.

I use a very cheap camera to take all these pictures that I have been posting here. Once I believe that I've gained enough knowledge in photography, I'll buy myself a high-end dSLR - probably one from Nikon, Canon, Sony or Panasonic.

Since I don't have a camera that produces RAW images, I started experimenting with GIMP (my favorite image manipulation program) so that I could achieve a similar effect just by using my compact camera. The pic that you see above is my first try at giving HDR look to photographs. If you like it, please leave a comment.

If you want to know how did I achieve this effect, check out this blog post: www.avinash.ws/graphic-design/gimp/hdr-look-using-gimp.html

Way Too Many Steps were taken to have any way to recap.. I just kept playing with layers and blendings and circlings and filtering ..and finally a crop.

The key was the first step of creating a mask, using the red channel, which was then cleaned up and blurred a tad, then used as a selection tool to copy and paste the blossom alone on it's own layer.

Now.. not what I wanted it to be, but then it almost never is. ;-)

I woke up last night and heard whispering. I snuck aroud the corner and was spotted before I could snap the meeting that was clearly in session. Oh everyone started wandering away trying to look nonchalant but I know that Stez is up to something....I'll catch him yet. Oh and looks like Mr & Mrs Cheetah are in on it too and they never agree on anything!

Since Stezzie shut down his stream and such... STEZZER ....Meet My Stezzer Stand In. I am sure Pseudo Stezz has something up his sleeve, he just hasnt told me what yet.

The pattern suggested here by ale_e_ba was really challenging : www.flickr.com/photos/ale_e_ba/149233227/in/pool-composit...

Although not completly compliant here's my first attempt at it.

The original object you are looking at is a milk cup as seen from above ... plus some digital treatment...
