I used a Photoshop Glass effects filter for the 'frame' to set up an Out Of Bounds effect for this hydrangea blossom with a rider, as yet unidentified. Any help?
Ahh. Thank You, Mimbrava; I think that'd be it.. one variety or other.. a fork-tailed bush katydid (Scudderia furcata) nymph, it is... title changed.

My rendition was tweaked in PS CS4 and then modified mainly using a watercolor texture overlay, and some other tweaks.

I tweaked it via layers in Adobe Photoshop CS2, using a modified "tilt shift" masking, to simulate a tilted lens/ focal plane, to enhance the direct studiousness.
My cousin, Frank, again, who acts under the name Frank Aard. This time, his new haircut and his bowler hat, from his ridiculously large hat collection, suggested a quick Stan Laurel impression. We didn't play with it to the extent we could have, but it did fuel some digital tweaking, once I got it into Adobe's Photoshop CS2...
