"I'm looking beyond the expressions to the experience. At that place, it's not a matter of intellectual suicide. The intellectual is not the prime equipment involved."

My cousin, Frank, has auditioned for a part in a film, and asked me to do some headshots specific to his ideas of the character to take with him to the audition. This is an unusual practice, as the casting folk usually just want a straight Non-character photo, but Frank feels this might give him an edge.

While editing the take, one of the out takes showed some subject motion when he moved during a bracket. I like the effect, as I was already going for an 'old world' feel to suit the character. Here, I have 'aged' it in Photoshop.

made from an old soft image of a hydrangea blossom, I pretty much had to make something else out of a fairly crappy original. ;-/. All done in Photoshop.

I pass these cranes everyday to and from work. They fascinate me and they dominate the skyline of Belfast and can be seen from everywhere. They are in the shipyard that built the Titanic but their scale is hard to show. I love them best coming home in the evening when they are highlighted against the grey winter sky by the low evening sun when the yellow glows and the white highlight jump at you. They never cease to amaze me and at times they make me think of some kind of extra terrestrial machine like in War of the Worlds. The cranes actually have names Samson and Goliath.

I have just had fun with these using a downloaded preset for lightroom ADB_solarize found in Adobelightroom group, thankyou, then I tweaked and tweaked until I got an image I liked. I just loved the surreal effect and thought it worked well for these images.

I have seen lots of these multiple exposure shots on flickr and just had to try one myself. Not bad for a first attempt, but I need to do more work around the area where the cards meet James' arm on the right hand side.

Pimped Picture 79b Softened the light and added in fill in flash to bring up and correct the exposure also added drop shadow down the right side of the image and applied a tighter crop skin softened and cleaned up with additional sharpening work done around the eyes and mouth finally very subtle burning and dodging work down to highlight skin tone and shadow detail finally added a hollywood style glow to the skin tones to really warm the picture up to see original click here.
