An unidentified class 115 Driving Motor Brake Second (DMBS) leads a four car set into Liverpool Lime Street station sometime around 1974.
Unit History
Forty one class 115 high density suburban four car sets were ordered from Derby works and entered traffic in 1960. The majority of the class were allocated to Marylebone, however six units (which included DMBS M51849 – M51860) were allocated to Allerton for Liverpool suburban duties. In 1987 the majority transferred to Tyseley and with the exception of M51850 (withdrawn in January 1985) they were withdrawn between November 1991 and February 1996.
