Ice stacking up against the intake for the hydro-electric turbines

West Pond, Parsonsfield, Maine.

The ice in the east cove is giving way to open water now.

Pretty big ice jam building up below the dam, luckily nothing is close to the water so no flooding concerns

Loons return to the lakes as soon as there is open water. The ice visible here was gone by the next day, Taken May 7, 2009.

From LA to the BAY: ICE OUT!

6/9/25

With less than 24 hours notice, over 5,000 people rallied and marched in San Francisco's Mission District. The crowd came to stand in solidarity with LA and to stand with our neighbors and all immigrants against the horrific abuse of ICE and the absolutely authoritarian moves of the Trump regime.

Do not sit on the sidelines! Contact the Rapid Response Network in your county to see if there are ways that you can show up to support your neighbors.

The Association of Legal Aid Attorneys - UAW Local 2325 (ALAA), along with dozens of unions, immigrant rights organizations, and community groups held a rally on December 7, 2017 at Brooklyn Borough Hall to call on the Office of Court Administration (OCA) and Chief Judge Janet DiFiore to immediately implement a policy to prohibit Immigration & Customs Enforcement agents from entering state courthouses, and to end coordination with ICE. Enacting these policies would help solidify New York City and New York State’s “Sanctuary” status and make sure that our courthouses are places of justice rather than fear. (Photo by Erik McGregor)
