Department of State.
The IWOC award recognizes women around the globe who have demonstrated exceptional courage and leadership in advocating for peace, justice, human rights, gender equality, and women's empowerment, often at great personal risk and sacrifice. Through IWOC, now in its fourteenth year, the U.S. Department of State has honored over 130 awardees from more than 65 countries.
This panel, hosted at the Elliott School, will be comprised of three 2020 IWOC awardees in conversation with Dr. Shirley Graham, Director of the Gender Equality Initiative in International Affairs. We invite the public to hear about these courageous women's experiences and interact with them through a Q&A.
