Shot on a 590nm converted IR camera with a 680nm filter stacked on a hot mirror filter. Visible light wave range of about 20nm.
I had to boost the ISO to 3200 to get a shutter speed fast enough to hold on this rainy day.

I try to make my photostream as varied as possible, given the fairly limited nature of 'nature' photography as I do it. Later in the year, much simpler. (Should anyone want to actually look through some of my stream, hopefully the variety would have some appeal.)
Though there is no Milkweed showing yet, and won't be for some weeks, the Milkweed Beetles (not Box Elder Bugs) have been very active. In parts of the woods along the river, they've been almost like a plague..apologies for the hyperbole. In the garden where this photo was made there were a few.
Here's one making some nice art.

1 Hours 30 Minutes in Rodinal 50:1, 1 minute agitation to start and then 20 seconds of really gentle inversions every 30mins
ISO3200, handheld, 1/3 sec. The Canon EF24-105mm f/4L IS USM lens stabilizer still performs miracles.
Colours as it came out of the 7D, except that white space was made a bit colder.
