Two Albula-IRs meet just north of Preda, Switzerland. Both are hauled by Ge 4/4 III locomotives without advertising, a sight that would not have been possible a few years ago.

The Holy Ghost Catholic Church in downtown Denver is right next to the US Internal Revenue Services Bldg on 1900 California Street, Denver, CO 80202. If you're ever in Denver, then you should check this location out. It is quite impressive how they built the IRS building "around" the Church. www.holyghostchurch.info
Venus imaged with a 742nm IR filter rather than my usual 685nm. Camera was a ZWO ASI290MM
12 sets of 1 minute captures, best 5% stacked then 12 resultant images stacked.
I ran 2 identical sets of acquisitions with both a 685 and 742 filter- the only difference was slightly longer exposure time @ 742nm to compensate for the darker filter. Histogram maintained around 75% for both.
In theory there is a little less resolution due to longer wavelength but I couldnt see much difference practically.
Modern cameras like the ZWO ASI290MM and ASI224MC are very sensitive right into the deep IR.
Astrometry:
Illuminated fraction = 0.358
Diameter = 31.8 arcsec
Light travel time = 4.4 minutes
Elevation = 21 degrees
Elongation from Sun = 43.7 East
