I passed through the tiny town of Interior, SD a number of times during my September 2022 visit to Badlands NP. I found little of photographic interest here, but small town churches always have appeal.
The interior of the chapel at Tyntesfield Manor near Wraxall in North Somerset. It is modelled on Sainte-Chapelle in Paris. The chapel was occasionally opened to local residents usually at Christmas.

The baroque and mannerist interior of the Cathedral of SS Peter and Paul, Šiauliai, complete with a Gothic vault. Built 1617-26, but only a cathedral since Lithuania’s fourth city was raised to see status in 1997. The building was badly damaged during World War Two, but restoration was already well underway during the period of Soviet Occupation of Lithuania.
Notre Dame Cathedral, arguably the greatest example of French Gothic architecture, hosts 13-15 million visitors every year. I think most of them were there on the days that we visited ; -))
Previous pictures showed characteristics of Gothic architecture: Gargoyles, Flying Buttresses, West Face and Towers. This interior picture shows the vertical nature of Gothic buildings. The vaulted ceiling is complemented with pointed arches and elongated, pointed arch windows.
Thanks to Bernard (bern'arts) for reminding me that it took over a century to build Notre-Dame. In fact it was begun in 1163, and completed in 1345.
