………But there was no show - Spiderman was obviously off on the World wide Web somewhere! Just have to make do with boring old Moths then, who for some reason seem to fly off when Batty Bat comes out to play!! For the interested I created this Spooky Tabletop shot by simply Bluetac'ing a wobbly translucent toy bat on to my Mac screen, whilst displaying a Web shot I took at Tarn Hows (Cumbria) and ‘Click’ this ‘Spooky Night’ shot was taken! The eyes were added using the Radial Filter tools in Lightroom 6. Don’t be too frightened and do have a Happy Smile On Saturday folks. Alan:-) HSoS…….

... not really interested in our moral or aesthetic judgements. Sometimes, there is sheer, blind violence. Like in this scene. I have several times tried to capture the force at work here, but I think this image comes closest to what I feel. Leica M8, Elmar 50/2.8.
Jager frolicking in the field caught the eye of this guy.
Luckily, Jager never noticed.
I finally joined the Lightroom club after years of playing with other programs. Hate the idea of monthly payments but after losing some backups it might be worth it combined with the storage aspect.
Might be a little over processed but it was my first try. I may redo this once I get familiar with some of the powerful features.

Not interested in modelling for the camera, looking towards my husband who is holding the cookies as her reward for posing! Tillie is almost 12yrs now. This was taken on a recent winter camping trip that we cut short because it warmed up and turned the campsite into a big puddle of water covering slippery ice. Our main concern was Tillie trying to move about safely as she is not terribly steady on her feet was very nervous on the ice.

The plant Filou was chewing on is Teucrium marum, also called cat thyme. Some cats react to it like they react to catnip. Filou and Sethi love it whereas Cleo and Tofu aren't particularly interested in it.

Male Barred Owl. I took this upper body shot as it looked a lot more puffy than the entire bird. Just loved those feathers covering the branch.

angola white lady/graphium angolanus angolanus and if you are interested, the flower is Senegalia kraussiana (Kus-Rankdoring, Coast Climbing Thorn)
We went to a bird hide (a very fancy, double storey one), but there were no birds to be seen, instead a parade of fluttering beauties...

What is a Drum horse? Read the following if interested
The American Drum Horse is a modern American breed of heavy horse of draft type. It is based on, and named for, the drum horse of the Life Guards of the British Royal Household Cavalry, which carries the kettle-drummer and large silver kettle-drums, and is usually a Clydesdale or Shire, and often either piebald or skewbald.[1]:43 Other regiments have drum-horses of other colors and breeds.
The American Drum Horse may be of any color, with a preference for pinto patterns.[2]:434 It is usually derives mainly from cross-breeding of Clydesdale, Gypsy Cob and Shire stock.[2]:434 It may be registered with the International Drum Horse Association or the Gypsy Cob and Drum Horse Association.[3][4]

Now I know why their ears are so short...Long-eared Owls or Great Horned Owls could never get their head through that hole. And now that I think of it... not even Burrowing Owls would be interested.

Sparrowhawk (f) - Accipiter nisus - Starling
Managed to grab 4 shots of this across the road from the sitting room window before it flew off...…….Lucky!
The Magpies gave it away but oddly they were more interested fighting amongst themselves about 10ft away which was strange.
The Sparrowhawk just sat there unfazed, an unusual occurrence to watch.
……No just dewdrops! One from last year - looking forward to the Rose season again this year, without doubt they are a joy to photograph. I cant decide if this Peach, Apricot or both?…..

One of my regulars from last night. This one doesn't mind me standing close and taking flash pictures as long as I don't make any sudden movements or make too much noise. She's much more interested in the peanuts....
Interested but confused! Bella playing with a piece of ice on a very hot day - it was fun while it lasted. When the game ended Bella wandered away to sleep while I cleaned my kitchen floor. Happy Caturday!

For the Macro Monday challenge "Tradition" (December 20th 2021)
I suppose it has become a tradition of sorts. We have both our birthdays and wedding anniversary in December, and it made quite a headache when choosing presents. So some years ago we decided to start collecting original art works created by artists we admired and enjoyed. So far we have hand-blown glass, hand-printed photographs, and this year we've added a few miniature hand-turned ceramic pots and vases. These are truly tiny - the ones I used here are all under 3" at the broadest point. They are individually made and glazed and perfect for macro photography!! 😊 (There's a shot of all 3 in the first comment field. The necks of the bottles are about 1" tall)
HMM!! and have a lovely festive week ahead!
