Visit of the Toraja village Ketu Kesu: Tongkonan boat shaped houses; Tau-Tau statues; graveyard with bones and skulls and coffins.
This weekend my friend asked me to be her pre-wedding photographer. She choose the location on one of the island in Thousand Island archipelago namely Bira Island.
Since I just arrived a few hours ago and I feel really exausted, I think better I postpone a little bit to write about this island.
Yes...the wedding of my friend will come soon (just next Saturday) and I have ton of photos to choose and to do a little bit editing before i give it to her.
Wayang is a traditional Indonesian entertainment with puppets played by "dalang". There are different types of wayang:
Wayang kulit (shadow puppet) and Wayang golek are wooden doll puppets that are operated from below by rods connected to the hands and a central control rod that runs through the body to the head.

We drove 220km from Lampung to Krui with this refreshing greens along the roadside!

Pulau Seram, although it ranks in the 100 biggest islands in the world, is one of the least known. With a rugged interior of jungle-swathed mountains, it was home to headhunters until the middle of the 20th century. Cockatoos, parrots, and hornbills are just a few of the exotic bird species found in the forests, not to mention wild durians falling off the trees. Teluk Sawai on the north coast has simple accommodation in stilt houses overlooking the sea. This place is far off the beaten track, and some Indonesian words and phrases go a long way. Baron beach lies in Kemandang Village, Tanjungsari district about 23 km in the South of Wonosari city. Baron beach is the first beach that would be found in the junction of Baron, Kukup, Sepanjang, Drini, Krakal and Sundak beaches area. It is a bay with big wave. Maluku Islands, Indonesia.
Of the over 17,000 Indonesian islands many are uninhabited. This one had only three residents, an older couple and one son. Fishing was the main food source but coconuts, and other fruits added some nutrition. They seemed genuinely happy to see me and wanted to talk but my Bahasa Indonesian is very limited and we mostly smiled and pointed- which seemed enough somehow. We returned to the schooner and enjoyed this wonderful sunset.
