A Pura is a Balinese Hindu temple and the place of worship for the adherents of Balinese Hinduism in Indonesia. Most of the Puras are found on the island of Bali, as Hinduism is the predominant religion in the island; however many Puras exist in other parts of Indonesia where there are significant numbers of Balinese people.
A large number of Puras have been built in Bali, leading it to gain the nickname "the Island of a Thousand Puras".
The more heights the meru (the tower) has, the more sacred the Pura is supposed to be. The holiest Puras show up to eleven heights merus.
This one is one of the most beautiful.

Kukup is a white sandy beach with a path that cut through hills that connect it to the beach Baron. On this beach there is a coral island is also connected by bridges senggol. From the top of this island we can see a fairly broad view of the coast and very beautiful with large waves. Although during the day, if we are on this coral island, the weather will remain cool because the wind was blowing quite hard.

The people of Padea Village were seriously into color. This wonderful older woman enjoyed our brief visit and welcomed us with a smile and a nod.
We went to visit a wonderful village on this island called Padea Village. The inhabitants were mostly fishermen and a good deal of the housing was on stilts. The people there were shy at first. About half way through the village, people were interacting more with us.

The Dewaruci was the last ship that left Antwerp . When it sailed away we heard the melody "should old acquaintance be forgot ..." . It was a very touching moment .
On the picture you see the towers of the O.L.Vrouw Cathedral and the Boerentoren .
