I adopted this DV iMac for performance testing. 10gb, 400mHz - I control it with Apple Remote Desktop.
Once day-glow Swarthmore Swarming Earthworms Disc featured in front of The HappyTones.
Finally it came. I anticipated the introduction of a larger iMac this summer so I sold my Powerbook. When Apple introduced it early september, it didn't take long to decide that this would be my new friend for a while.
The old G3 iMac on the left was only for simple internet and mail tasks.
The iMac I got on friday was a lemon. The left speaker was blown and twice the screen got "snowy" and purple and then hard locked up. This pic is from when I put it into standby after a display freeze and brought it back. Ugh. Fortunately they gave me a new iMac :)
24" imac next to our 17" powerbook, macbookpro. ben surprised me with this xmas present. the screen is so big i have neck pain from working on it. lol i think i need a bigger desk.
Just something nice and simple, a IMac Duo with Bluetooth keyboard and mouse, along side my trusty Ibook G4 (A Bit slow but very trusty :) Oh and the Camera is a DSLR the Finepix S5500..
All of them get a good work out :)

I have to be honest and say it is mighty sweet to see them power up the iMac DV, select safari and run with it... The bondi blue isn't connected to the net...too slow.

Beautifull and powerfull machine.
We just got a new 24" iMac as our first family computer. The table is from IKEA and matches the computer perfectly. Everything seems to fit pretty well in this little corner between our kitchen/dining room and the living room.
This is a great audiophile setup focused in headphone audio. You can see:
- iMac 20"
- ultra-curve pro deq2496 digital equalizer (below iMac)
- Singlepower mpx3 tube headphone amplifier (customized)
- Marantz cd player (below the tube amplifier)
- Aqvox USB D/A MkI DAC (in silver below the cd player)
The iMac is connected to the DAC through an optical cable and amplified in the singlepower. You can see some of the headphones of my collection to the left, a Grado HF-1 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grado_Labs) and (half) sennheiser HD650 with setefan audioart equinox cable. Note the cheap blue headphone stands made with plastic mineral water bottles and cd spindles :)
