Just set-up my brand new 27" iMac.
With the 2560 x 1440 HD resolution the difference after my three year old 20" iMac is staggering.
The photo doesn't do it justice. It's almost frightening sitting here dwarfed by this thing. I'm gonna get a bad "tennis" neck.

It took a couple days to shuffle the hundreds of gigs of data around between the iMac, Drobo, and my old Western Digital 500-GB MyBook hard drive. I installed TrueCrypt on the iMac, and I'm using the MyBook for encrypted, off-site storage of critical documents.

I'm moving, and as I do so, I'm simplifying my life. Do I really need *two* computers, especially when I'm on the go so much? Sigh … no. So I'm selling my 17-inch flat panel iMac. All of the specs on it are listed here, except I've doubled the RAM.
This is the most stable computer I've ever owned. I got it when it first came out, and I have never had a single hardware problem with it. I've even brought it into my office to do all my photo crunching on when my PowerBook blew out.
This isn't a brand-new machine to run all the latest games on, but it's still extremely capable, particularly for media-related uses. It has a big, beautiful screen for photo-editing or DVD viewing, and has no problem editing 10 or 12-megapixel pictures in CS2 (yes, it's loaded with software). It has a SuperDrive, which burns both CDs and DVDs. It also comes with the latest edition Apple Pro Keyboard (I upgraded) and a two-button mouse, for those who like to right-click.
I'm selling it for $475 to anyone who can come and pick it up; $500+shipping if it goes through UPS. For another $25 I'll throw in the iSight, a quarter of its value.
