Was up around 2 AM (as always) and spotted the light rays creeping out from the cracked guest room door and across the family room walls. Tried a long exposure - with Pan F Plus it took 30 seconds (I think) to get a little depth but at least something showed up.

Little success with this film. Previous roll was accidentally exposed when I forgot that I have already loaded the roll in the SRT101. It turned out only 2 photos can make it. SPII has a better hit rate but it's still only at 1/3 of the whole roll.

Not quite sure about the results from shooting under bright sun. Details in shadow are also lost even properly exposed. Maybe long exposure in the dark gives a better result. Now have to think about how to shoot the last roll.

The official name of this mural is actually "A Place in Mind" (2009) by Jose Arenas, Mike Torchia & Oscar Lopez. It's one of my favorites in Downtown San Jose. I always call it "Dreamy Child." It looks like some graffiti has taken a toll on this beautiful mural. Taken with Kodak Portra 160. The black and white version was taken in 2011 (Ilford PanF Plus), when the time was rosier.

Old houses at Gräfsnäs park. An old soldiers home.

Imagine life in the old days:

No electricity.

No running water.

No washroom or toilet inside.

Just basically a living room with a fireplace and perhaps a separate sleeping chamber.

In high school I bought myself a Minolta Maxxum 3000i with some off-brand lenses. It worked great as a point and shoot on drugstore Fuji film. As I recall, there was no option to control aperture or shutter.

In the early 2000s I started taking photography slightly more seriously and I bought...

your heart burns for love

my soul burns for blood

i'll take you

i'll break you

i'll crush you

i'll break you

if you want me

i'll need you

i'll kill you

feed from you

i'll take you down that road

that leads to destruction

come and take a walk with me

where the angels fear to tread

kiss the flame

feel the pain

in the furnace of our love

i can't feed my hunger

your youth makes me younger

i'll hurt you

i’ll desert you

turn your dreams to nightmares

i'll cheat you

i'll eat you

i'll maim you

i'll drain you

come to me

come to me

to the dark side where love sleeps

i'll hurt you

you'll love me

i'll scratch you

i'll cut you

you'll kiss me

then miss me

i’ll laugh at your torment

i'll have you

and own you

be hard and cold to you

i'll be your dark angel

i'll be your worst nightmare

This is the last of the Detroit/Fox Theatre shots. I promise. I wish this was a little bit straighter, but with my 50mm lens it was tough to get a good angle with a large portion of the horizontal and vertical signage of the Fox in frame. I just got an FD 28mm, so maybe I'll take that back to Woodward to get some wider shots, but for now I think this captures the nice contrast between the dark designs, the gray bricks, and the reflecting windows.
