Flowers
Culver City, Los Angeles County, California
I can't remember the name of these flowers.
This shot was made with the 50mm set at it's closest focus point and the lens wide open at f/4.
The film is the first roll of a brick of 10 that expired 30 years ago. The gentleman I purchased it from said it had been stored in a freezer. His claim seems likely since it is working just fine. I made no special adjustments for the age of the film.

This was shot in 2001, with my dad's old Ikoflex 120 camera that dated from around 1952. No light meter, nor did I have one. I was using 50 speed Ilford black and white film, and knowing this was going to be a chance, I decided the film needed to be pushed at least one step, to ISO 100. Thought I'd have time to shoot a couple of pics of the train, but didn't figure on the thing roaring past me at around 60mph! I'm lucky the darned thing came out at all.

I am conducting a project where I take both my M3 and my IIIa and shoot the same scenes at the same times, so that I can compare the outcome.
This is a shot of the Hochzeitsturm on Mathildenhöhe, Darmstadt, taken with the IIIa. The corresponding picture with the M3 is here.

Digital color photograph (1100 ISO) to analog Ilford Pan F Plus ™ 50 changed.
Its sharpness is enormous and there is no other footage that it extends to the limits of high resolution photography zoom. It is the material of which the magnification abilities easily go into the region, which otherwise appears to be possible only in the large-format photography.
