Rather than appearing regular and symmetrical, these leaves remind me of a milling crowd.

Digitised with a digital camera and contrast adjusted in LR
Photographed August 1994 : Mamiya C220 + Mamiya SEKOR 80mm/2.8. ILFORD PAN F+ developed in ILFORD ID11 (1+1,8min 30sec,20*C).Negative was illuminated on a light box and 'scanned' with an iPad mini using the FilmScanner app in B&W reversal mode.The image was then processed in Flickr.

I took this photo during a detour to Barnsley on my way to Wakefield for the 50th anniversary commemoration of the Lofthouse Colliery Disaster.
I was actually present in Barnsley on the day the Oaks memorial was unveiled (7 May 2017) but didn't actually get the chance to have a close look at it that day. It's a beautiful thing.
