The splendor above.
Continuing my backyard wandering to the opposite corner of the yard and a different version of the forest canopy.

Softly and quietly.
The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
he refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths
for his name’s sake.

All that's left now of Sand Cut, FL. Definitely a bit of an adventure to get too. Standing 50-feet back it was screened entirely by weeds and grasses, we almost walked away convinced that nothing remained.
And after all that effort the nifty fifty was the bigger struggle. Just couldn't find my angle in the small clearing. So I mostly stood around, feeding mosquitos, watching Mr. Wide-Angle-lens do his thing.

Still testing out my Kodak Medalist II after several repairs, this time with a more carefully re-spooled roll of film. Looking better so far at least
Took this shot at an industrial park in North Quincy, MA. Nothing exciting, but I was mainly looking for a subject with straight lines at infinity.

Fiore triste
parole a caso mosse dal vento
col filo del mio sentire ho cucito nuvole
perché ti portassero un messaggio
Ma domenica prevedono neve
e io mi sento triste, felice e bianca
E vorrei ricoprire tutto col mio mantello
essere una Lady di velluto e di ferro
per non soffrire nel veder sciogliersi le nuvole
Ma sai, fiore triste, il caso non esiste
e ho stipulato un’alleanza col vento
così che le parole mie vadano dove devono andare
a sorpresa
a destino
a volontà
e i capelli spargono
esplodono
nord sud est e ovest
volteggiano
Legherò il tuo stelo al mio dito
fiore triste
ti conserverò nel cuore
così che tu non muoia mai
anche se lo desideri tanto
questo morire
e non lasciar traccia di te
Ma contro la tua volontà
ormai domenica hanno previsto neve
e la tua traccia è qui
indelebile e bianca
nel mio cuore sempre acceso
e avvolto dal mantello che tutto copre e rassicura
e riscalda la volontà mia
che ora ammaina le vele nel sonno
lascia spazio all’inconscio
e galleggia respirando a pieni polmoni sorpresa e destino
vaniglia e zenzero, profumano
incenso brucia in spirali sogni cattura
e giaciglio
dormo con voi
miei venti alleati e amati
custodi
della vostra Lady di velluto e di ferro
e del suo cuore
sempre acceso

Another little tributary of Silver Lake Outlet. It flows through a culvert under the Park Road then under the bridge you will see tomorrow, and on past the remains of the Civilian Conservation Corps camp. A lot more water than usual.
Friday, March 17. Back to Letchworth and the Gibsonville Trail. Just past the start point is a good place to get down to water level and look back at the Park Road bridge.

Happened upon this old Dodge (late 1940s perhaps?) in a Walmart parking lot in Weymouth (MA). I took this picture with my Kodak Medalist II, a camera I've been struggling with as of late. I recently had the failed shutter mechanism repaired, but since then I have found the sharpness of the camera's pictures lacking (this particular shot being somewhat an exception, possibly because I actually hurried the shot). Sharpness had not been a problem in the past, before the shutter went south. Whatever, I have shipped the camera back out to have the range finder settings checked out, etc. I hope this solves the problem as I really want this camera to be dependable; to date I've lost count of the rolls of film I've shot, all for naught.

Following the geese.
I came up on an extended family of Canada Geese. I gave them a wide berth so as not to cause any more disruption than necessary. They moved further to the side but mostly ignored me; they are used to paddlers on the creek.
