Spring arrived and new life grows on old trees.
Hasselblad 500cm on Ilford Delta 100, developed in Caffenol-C-M(rs)
Since I had a few frames left on the Mamiya, I decided to revisit on old still life idea from years ago...an absurdly tall stack of pancakes that gets smaller and smaller as it goes up. It sort of looks like a hoodoo that you might find near Zion National Park.
Details:
-Mamiya 645 Pro
-Ilford Delta 100
-80mm f/2.8 wide open
-four second exposure
-developed for 11.5 minutes in D76

Silba has lot of small beaches and bays where you can enjoy swimming and sunbathing in the clear and warm Adriatic sea.
Pentax K1000 - Ilford XP2 Super 400 - Louisville, Kentucky - Big Four Bridge - This was a massive flood. I was able to get this pic from the Big Four Bridge. The next day, the Big Four Bridge was inaccessible.
Fiore triste
parole a caso mosse dal vento
col filo del mio sentire ho cucito nuvole
perché ti portassero un messaggio
Ma domenica prevedono neve
e io mi sento triste, felice e bianca
E vorrei ricoprire tutto col mio mantello
essere una Lady di velluto e di ferro
per non soffrire nel veder sciogliersi le nuvole
Ma sai, fiore triste, il caso non esiste
e ho stipulato un’alleanza col vento
così che le parole mie vadano dove devono andare
a sorpresa
a destino
a volontà
e i capelli spargono
esplodono
nord sud est e ovest
volteggiano
Legherò il tuo stelo al mio dito
fiore triste
ti conserverò nel cuore
così che tu non muoia mai
anche se lo desideri tanto
questo morire
e non lasciar traccia di te
Ma contro la tua volontà
ormai domenica hanno previsto neve
e la tua traccia è qui
indelebile e bianca
nel mio cuore sempre acceso
e avvolto dal mantello che tutto copre e rassicura
e riscalda la volontà mia
che ora ammaina le vele nel sonno
lascia spazio all’inconscio
e galleggia respirando a pieni polmoni sorpresa e destino
vaniglia e zenzero, profumano
incenso brucia in spirali sogni cattura
e giaciglio
dormo con voi
miei venti alleati e amati
custodi
della vostra Lady di velluto e di ferro
e del suo cuore
sempre acceso

Racconto poetico delle mie vacanze
I’m out of film. So I decided to shoot this roll again.
Beondegi is a pupa. A silkworm pupa, in fact. It is a popular street or drinking food in Korea.
Beondegi is often sold in a cans. It’s served when people drink.
She likes it. She told me it is like the Korean Vienna Sausage.
Only healthier.
Seoul / Iksan, South Korea. June 2018.
The two peaks of Frailes Hill were constructed during two stages of intense underwater volcanic activity. The first occurred approximately 13 to 12 million years ago, while the second occurred 9 to 8 million years ago. During the first stage, highly explosive volcanic eruptions generated substantial domes and lava flows, predominantly dacitic in composition. These eruptions alternated with subsequent explosive events. Intertwined within the volcanic sequence are also layers of fossiliferous sedimentary rocks indicative of shallow marine environments. This volcano-sedimentary sequence is intersected by numerous feeder dacitic dikes. During the second stage, the volcanic activity was reactivated and is characterised by the emission of numerous andesitic lava flows and domes, which were darker in colour and accompanied by the eruption of substantial quantities of pyroclastic deposits. The volcanic activity was concluded by the formation of two large mountain peaks, which we see today.

I'm still working my way through a lot of about 25 rolls of undeveloped film cached in my darkroom, dating back to 2017.
This is a roll of Ilford Delta 3200 I exposed last summer with one of my Retina IIIc's. As far as I recall, it was exposed at 800 ASA, and I processed it in PMK Pyro. I got flat negatives, but after some post-processing, the results are quite attractive.
I like the pointillist effect of these coarse-grained films.
RIP dear Frank.

Trainstation Varaždin
Varaždin station and the original station building were built together with the first railway, and the building was extended in 1908 when it took on the present appearance of an imposing neoclassical building. The building survived bombing attempts during World War II, and never stopped working until Covid-19.
