About two weeks ago we had a week off and extra time for some hikes and practice runs again with our gear.
The weather would be reasonable on, so we selected the gear we wanted to use and filled our backpack for this hike.
Decided to go for a hike in a different area for a change. Visited the province Groningen.
Followed a trail maintained by Staatsbosbeheer. We did enjoy the views and countryside. And with the sun the hike was pleasant.
Took as we do almost every time also some of our analog gear with us.
One of our Canon Eos 3 cameras was loaded with some fresh Ilford XP2 Super 400 for a change
Developing was done at home with our Cinestill Cs41 kit at 39c and 4 minutes
This was the fourth film with the new batch of developer mixed on September 9 2020
Curious if we can reach over 25 films again and 10 months with this new batch.
The previous developer batch was used to develop 28 films (135-36 format) over an period of 10 months without any problems.
The Cinestill CS41 does stay in good working condition if kept cool, dark and oxygen free.

Another abandoned Farmhouse, in the plains near Turin. The area is littered with the abandoned, ruined farmhouses - industrialisation and the lure of an easier life in the city have left their mark.
Technical Stuff: printed on Ilford MG IV, solarised and selenium toned.

Tu dammelo e poi ti dico io cosa me ne faccio
Perché è quella tensione in quel desiderio
che mi fa tendere
espandere
esplodere
e andare oltre
la mia completezza
E io voglio andare oltre

Oftentimes during or after the rain, the uppermost parts of the local forests are shrouded in clouds and/or mist. I've long admired this phenomenon from the outside, but in the last few months I've made the trek in to experience it from the inside. It is a peaceful, magical atmosphere that I really enjoy photographing, though finding clean compositions on the slopes of the hills has proven challenging. Oh well, I'll just have to go again, and again, and again, I guess...

Joana took me to a wonderful wooded area at a park near where she lives. We wandered about in forests seeking peace, sharing our passions for the nature waiting there.
Kate was one of my first real professional models I ever worked with. There were a couple of other models but non who had Kate's experience. It was kind of intimadating, scary booking her but once we met it was lovely. I learned a great deal from Kate and have only very fond memories of our session.
This image was shot with my old Nikon F3. It's a bit of a beast of a camera, heavy but so very well built. And with it's 50mm f1.2 lens, I get some wonderful shallow depth of field effects.
