Ilford FP4+ in the Rolleiflex MX (f3.5 Tessar)
I don't typically use the Rolleiflex at its widest aperture because sharpness is less than ideal at f3.5
But out of curiosity I did that during a comparison test yesterday. This image was made with the aperture wide open. Depth of focus is - not surprisingly - very shallow (about 12" of reasonably sharp focus), and sharpness is just OK in the point most in focus. But the feel is very nice, with the softly rendered background.
"Soft" has its place.
Note to self: next time, use a green filter to create better separation between the Ivy foliage and the dead Maple leaves.

From a smoky stay up in the North Cascades National Park. The day before neither Shuksan nor Baker could be seen, but on the second day both mountains emerged from the pall of smoke. It made for some interesting photography conditions. It was certainly unlike any other visit I had made to this park.

The reef formations above the surface are ancient volcanic chimneys. The reef is surrounded by steep cliffs on the shore, and the water is clear as glass, exposing a mosaic of turquoise, green, and blue hues on the seabed.

The cortijo del Fraile, a one-story building in the Cabo de Gata Natural Park, is a striking example of a large or stately farmhouse. It stands out against the small and medium-sized farmhouses that dominated the region. Declared a Cultural Interest Asset, it features a central courtyard, chapel, funerary crypt, ovens, stables, cochineras, and a well-preserved cistern.
The farmhouse and its surroundings have been used as a natural film set in many films, the best known being "The Good, the Bad and the ugly" by director Sergio Leone.

We were both enjoying a week off a few weeks agao and had some luck with the weather during that week off.
Decided to visit National Park Dwingelderveld again and follow some hikingtrails.
Wanted to test and practice some more with our gear again.
Took as we do almost every time also some of our analog gear with us.
One of our Canon Eos 3 cameras was loaded with some fresh Ilford XP2 Super 400 for a change
Developing was done at home with our Cinestillfilm Cs41 kit at 39c and 4 minutes
This was the fourth film with the new batch of developer mixed on September 9 2020
Curious if we can reach over 25 films again and 10 months with this new batch.
The previous developer batch was used to develop 28 films (135-36 format) over an period of 10 months without any problems.
The Cinestill CS41 does stay in good working condition if kept cool, dark and oxygen free.
A few weeks ago we had another day with good weather and nice temperatures.
Decided to visit an area we haven't seen before.
Went to the Oude Diep area near Wijster. Followed a trail maintained by "Het Drents Landschap"
We did enjoy the hike and the time outside. not a typical forest hike but as mentioned a nice hiking trail
One of our Canon Eos 3 cameras was used again, as we do almost every time.
It was still Loaded with some expired Ilford HP5 plus 400 (Expiry date 06-2014)
Think this was the last of the expired HP5 plus we had left
Developing is as always done with our Caffenol recipe, Caffenol-C-L at 21c and stand developing for 55 minutes this time
This older HP5plus does still deliver some nice bit grainy results.

Made on Ilford FP4+ film, processed in PMK Pyro developer.
This was an accident: I ran the same roll of FP4+ through the camera TWICE, by mistake. *Duh*
I was testing my new Kodak Retina IIC (big C) after servicing it. Nice camera, great viewfinder.

The film was damaged by x-ray at an Airport because I´d accidentally left it in hand-luggage. The negatives are quite badly fogged.
