For a change no hikes during the weekend, decided to stay at home and trying to relax a bit
So time for a few older photos.
A few weeks ago as usual during the weekend, we went for a hike again while the weather would still be reasonable.
The weather was actually nice, not very sunny but some friendly clouds and it stayed dry.
We decided to revisit a trail we followed a while ago.
This trail is called Wolvenspoor, it may only be 5 km but there is a lot to see.
One of our Canon Eos 3 cameras was used again as we do almost every time.
Loaded the camera this time with some expired Ilford HP5plus 400 (Expiry date 06-2014)
Developing is as always done with our Caffenol recipe, Caffenol-C-L at 21c and stand developing for 55 minutes this time
This older HP5plus does still deliver some nice bit grainy results.
Local Lane, West Yorkshire.
Kodak Box Brownie No2, Ilford XP2. Developed in Kodak HC-110, 1+49 for 10 minutes @20'C. Scanned on my Epson V800.
This photo is from the first roll of film I developed on my own. I still have a lot to learn, but I’m really enjoying the process.

It was during the heavy snows in Baravaria, January 2019, when streets were closed for a week or so, all animals on the farm had to stay inside...

Shadow lines by the Upper Falls - BW
I took the 6x12 to Letchworth last Friday with three frames left on the roll. I had three specific locations in mind, all places that I had photographed many times but not with this camera. I used a standard tripod instead of the usual stubby. This is the third of the three, at the Upper Falls.
You get two versions of this one, each with the other as alternate. One of my @deviantart cohorts asked about sepia, in his own inimitable way. I promised an example in the next scanning run.
I scan black and white negatives as color positives then desaturate and invert in the Gimp. With my particular setup that give me much better tone range than if I scan as black and white negatives. I skipped the desaturation step for the second version, which leaves a sepia tint when I flip from negative to positive.
Desaturation is the first step in the process, so I did the rest of the workup for each image independently.

Leica M7 50mm Summicron HP5+ self-developed in Microphen (stock), self-scanned with Nikon LS9000 + vuescan(linux) + darktable(linux)
The film was damaged by x-ray at an Airport because I´d accidentally left it in hand-luggage. The negatives are quite badly fogged.
