A few months ago I wrote a post about experimenting with pushing Kodak Tri-X from ISO 800 to 12800. It went down quite well and in the time since, has raised a bit of thought and discussion about the real limits of this film.
With all the recent super high ISO digital cameras announced these p...

From the archives - taken about a year ago on 2 February 2012 on a photo tour with my girlfriend and a friend.
I uploaded this in anticipation of the pictures I will get once my recent rolls of film have been developed and printed. It's a shame that these scans don't give the fabulous Ilford Delta 400 Professional film the appearance it deserves.

She was so beautiful, the way she stood there and looked off into the distance, deep in thought. All those years had gone by and in my eye at least, she didn't look a day older than when I first met her...as tall and as gorgeous as ever. I asked her "What's for dinner tonight sweetie?", to which she replied, "Upland trout with a dash of lemon"...memories of her standing there in a lacey little number pervade my dreams...

I love my new old camera: the Kiev 88 (aka Hasselbladski or The Bladenov). Fully manual medium format SLR from around 30 years ago.
This is also my first go with Ilford Delta 400 film - fairly happy with the ilford stuff and I think I will stick with it for a while.

My journey starts here: Milan, Central Station, May 10, 2013, h18:15.
I public a photograph extracted from my first roll of film developed and scanned by me completely.
It was a hot day, teeming with people who returned home after a day's work; other pending travel information, and others leaving for new destinations.
I saw the crowd, the chaos of a train full of life and crossings daily.
I felt a strong sense of openness, meetings of voices, sounds and looks driven by the typical adrenaline of Milan.
I would capture the chaos, but while I took I felt the beginning of a new journey and its endless wonders: photography black and white film.
Followed by other photographs on the theme of the station. The trip is a subject very dear to me.

So, it seems like the perfect time to bring you the work of another young, up and coming film photographer; today, in the form of Kevin Luyo,...
