OK, so I'm pointedly ignoring the cold rain outside today and, instead, looking forward to sunnier times.

Happy New Year, everyone!

Someone had saved fortune cookie predictions inside a table lamp base at a thrift store. I found the fortune of ‘ignore previous cookie’ quite amusing.

Ignore the Camera reflection, I've discovered a Flaw in the catalog of Light room ! so I transposed this photo to the D-7100 header ! And behold, I have two identical photographs from two different Camera's Sorry will not share any other specifics !

At the time of original I was making camera adjustments to show best camera lighting settings ( !!!! ) judging New Day - New Settings , New Camera ! the Learning curve Improves ! So again the reflected camera does not equate correctly the source, as of today the Learning curve improves !

It almost hurts my feelings to be so totally ignored by a bird. Almost.

January 24, 2017 - Bottlenose Dolphins Selection – Taiji, Japan

After five days of being netted in the cove, the super pod of bottlenose dolphins have been driven out to sea.

We will not forget the 100 members of the pod who have been taken captive, forced to spend the remainder of their lives in cramped, filthy tanks, performing degrading tricks for humans, or the 4 dolphins we documented dead from the stress and starvation they have experienced in the last 5 days. We will be here until the end of the season to broadcast the horrors of Taiji to the world.

The Japanese media submissively ignores the slaughter. Japanese politicians aggressively support the slaughter and the majority of the Japanese public remain willfully ignorant of the killing and for the most part they simply don’t care.

Being willfully ignorant of the horror of Taiji is not an excuse. The screams of the dolphins are echoing around the globe, these bloody scenes of sadistic brutality are being viewed around the world by millions.

These dolphins are thinking, feeling self-aware beings with a complex language and social networks. This killing is cold blooded murder. There can be no acceptable excuse.

Are there good people in Japan? Of course there are ... they are the exception to the rule because of the one hundred million plus Japanese people, very few are in opposition to this iniquity and pleading ignorant just does not cut it because when the rest of the world is aware of an atrocity in a country and their citizens claim to be unaware , well that sounds highly suspicious and where have we heard this before? They are aware. The truth is they just don’t care, as a nation they seemingly lack empathy and as a nation they are seemingly devoid of compassion.

Taiji is an evil place.

- www.kevin-palmer.com - What could cause me to completely ignore a giant colorful rainbow to my east? When I saw this explosion of color to the west I could only take pictures in one direction. So I pointed my camera west and tried to capture as much lightning as I could.

Probably the best changing room ever. Just look at the size of that mirror actually mirrors.

This is in Ted Baker at a shopping village not far from me. Thought I would see if I could fit into any of there clothes. the answer is not a chance in hell the biggest they go is a size UK16 buts more a large 14. Oh well the changing room was worth the experience.

What I thought was funny is the clothes are obviously design for people of a small a frame yet the changing cubical was big enough to take a baby elephant in with you where as the shop known for big girls has changing rooms you can just about turn around in.

All very odd.

While hiking, I have been seeing a growing number of people taking only a brief view of the surroundings and then burying themselves in their electronic devices. This ongoing project highlights the need to re-examine our need to unplug and just enjoy the beauty of this world.

It is time for new year’s resolutions. This year’s resolution was to minimize drama in my life, resulting in less stress. I learned that it is impossible to change people, but you have control of your reaction to the things that bother you about fellow humans. You can love and tolerate more, forgive, ignore, walk away and even end things; all are your decisions. It is still a work in progress, but The Lord has helped me. 2018’s resolution will be to exercise more. I love the afterwards feeling, but it is challenging to make myself do it! Thank God I have a great workout buddy. She is reliable and competitive and that is awesome! So, bring it on!

You lie there with a life in your hands. You lie there with the dreams promised to you. You lie there fading slowly. Get up!!! The world is running hard and time is running out. Believe me, today is your day. Your fear of doing wrong won’t matter. You are in charge.

Got tagged to do 10 facts. (I like being tagged, it takes away the worry on what to talk about on a daily basis.)

1. To visit Prague, Czech Republic is part of my bucket list.

2. Due to my irrational mood swings, I made my second sketch of the month and went crazy with all the colors. It’s weird that when I pick up my pencil my hand followed where it wanted to go. From a single line to another, I made something that means a lot to me. That girl is me. Quiet when sad. I think well that way. It’s the best position where in I can hear my heart pounding (fast..irregularly regular), my thoughts clear as a dew drop and breathing steady.

3. I doubted that a long distance relationship will work…(Trust issues, distance, communication how to’s)…and two years after we are still going strong.

4. I hate travelling by plane; the result of watching too much air crash documentaries.

5. I easily get jealous and can be too possessive.

6. Reading is my greatest escape, spending most of my time in our hammock, focused, grasping every single word. Amazed on how a sole idea can be expounded, words carefully in place to convey it’s truest meaning.

7. I keep a journal because I’m afraid to forget.

8. I can be very, very lazy.

9. Watching Phineas and Ferb can be a good stress reliever:)

10. Tomorrow I have an important examination to take. One I cannot risk to fail. One that if I pass can also cause me immense headache. Win-Win-Lose situation (if there is such thing).

Your turn:)

Marnie looked up from her book at the sound of a thump followed swiftly by a bang. She had a vague recollection of seeing Tilly on the coffee table. The bang must have been Tilly's door. Marnie sighed and put down her book. Tilly was struggling with Ever, she had tried talking to Ever about the little fairy but Ever just could not find the magic in the world. Marnie untangled herself from the sofa and went to speak to Tilly.

Tilly was sulking, being ignored was no fun. Ever was no fun! Tilly decided she didn't want to be friends with Ever, and she didn't want Marnie to be friends with her either. Tilly plopped her self down on her bed and hugged a pillow, there was a knock at her little door "Tilly...can I come in?" it was Marnie "'spose so" called back Tilly.

Marnie squeezed into the tiny room. "Oh Tilly" She said with affection "You can't win her over by playing tricks on her" Tilly buried her face in her pillow and Marnie stroked her back. "Poor lamb...it'll be okay. Ever is going away for a few days in a fortnight. Maybe some space will do you both some good" Tilly sniffed and nodded.
