I'm used to being ignored. Some people will often blithley walk into a scene when its quite obvious that I'm composing a picture. That's OK, though! The end result is often more interesting with a person for perspective - as it was in this image with a very pleasant lady, who was totally absorbed in checking out the many features of a heritage home during a Doors Open event.

We'll be seeing more of those mad lads in coming days... Seen at the Ballinasloe Horse Fair, Co. Galway, Ireland.

Ignoring Good Advice. San Jose, CA 2014

He looks completely bored! We've had such dreary weather I had to resort to taking flash photos of the cats this weekend. (ps - please ignore the cat hairy couch! I vacuum it every week but you could never tell)

Ignore me, I'm fulfilling an obligation for some prairie scenes for a print project for which I am *very* behind. Likely be a lot of wheat and sky for the next few pics.

For too many years they have ignored the world outside their heavenly realm.

For too much time they have ignored the events of mortal men.

For too long they have neglected the ancient oath to guard the World.

Now the Darkness has fallen and Chaos is rampaging across the World, threatening the very existence of every civilization.

This is not a time for debate. This is not a time to forget there is a real world outside the masterfully crafted walls of the Elven cities.

This is a time for action, a time for war.

He wont’t stand still as the forces of evil destroy millennia of civilization. He will fight. Relentless; steadfast. He will bring the Light to the darkest regions.

He is the Lord of the Ancient Flame and, as the mythical Phoenix he rides in battle, he will burn Darkness away with the fire of justice.

I always wanted to make photo featuring an Elf Warrior on a Phoenix and it’s the reason I bought that Phoenix Chima set some time ago (I don’t remember the name right now lol. I guess it was Ultimate Phoenix something).

It is my way to remember the old times when I played Warhammer and beside Elves and Phoenixes are somewhat a classic trope of certain Fantasy works :)

Since the only Elves I have are the Minifigures from Middle Earth sets I used Elrond to represent the “Phoenix Lord”.

Even though I used Elrond Minifigure in a completely different setting, I also want to show my support to Middle Earth :)

I hope you like this photo :)

At the start of the long walk to the famous Wistman's Woods, there is a beautiful row of trees that you past. I positioned myself up against the beautiful stone wall and captured this seven shot panoramic.

The tiny eye-catching wild sweet pea (Lathyrus sp) is another of the wildflowers which make it difficult to ignore our flora at this time of year. It is considered "invasive" but in the wilds where I find it, I wish it would invade a bit more. It appears to be kept in control by its more vigorous neighbors.

In my never-ending struggle to find happiness with textured flowers, this is my latest, somewhat restrained effort. Comments contains the untextured version which, in my eyes, illustrates the difficulty I personally have with this genre while marveling at the work of others of you....who inspire me to keep trying. Otherwise, I would be content with originals. I think I still prefer the original...as I would anticipate do many of you.

Ignore this disaster

I changed my name again XP

Sorry about that, but whateverrrr I like this better

Also my mom said she felt sick looking at this??¿¿

Just wanted to say a few things,

school started last week. Already really busy and will be for a while. My schedule is a little insane.

But! I am starting a massive series, I already have a few pictures. They arent exactly super cool or anything, but I think the series will be amazing as a whole.

I'm uncomfortable. Something doesn't suit me. And when something like that

happens, I tend to choose not to see. Not to be seen.

To ignore.

Precisely because it doesn't suit me or makes me uncomfortable.

And then I choose not to see.

I ignore what bothers me and try to move on.

And then?

Does what bothers me disappear just because I don't see it?

Or maybe I'm making myself disappear?

Until what bothers me becomes so much

that I must wake up.

And then I will find myself.

If it’s not too late.

Ignorer

Je ne suis pas à l’aise. Quelque chose ne me convient pas. Et quand

cela arrive, j’ai tendance à choisir de ne pas voir. De ne pas être vu.

D’ignorer.

I used to ignore every Minor, but any classic on the roads is a decent sight so I may even take photos of all of them I see now… This one seemed a bit different though, a bit of a ragtag look to it, and those weathered wheels look amazing on it! I thought this may be a daily to someone who is a bit of a car nut, and they must really like it as they've had this thing since 1990.

Jungle stories by Jim Corbett merit as much popularity and as wide a circulation as Rudyard Kipling’s Jungle Books. Kipling’s Jungle Books were fiction, based on great knowledge of jungle life; Corbett’s stories are fact, and fact is often stranger than fiction.

~M.G. Hallett (Introduction; Man-Eaters of Kumaon)

To the world, Jim Corbett is a little-known naturalist who rose to some fame in early 1900s hunting several maneaters in India’s Kumaon region. To Kumaonis, people from the densely forested Himalayan foothills of Kumaon, Jim Corbett was a savior. He was called upon on numerous occasions to alleviate terrors of man-eating tigers and leopards that roamed large regions and killed tens to hundreds of hapless men, women, and children who needed to venture into the jungle for their livelihood. To locals, Jim Corbett was not a hunter or a killer, he was their protector. Born in India of European ancestry, Jim Corbett loved the country and her people (“In my India, the India I know, there are four hundred million people, ninety percent of whom are simple, honest, brave, loyal, hard-working souls whose daily prayer to God…, is to give them security of life and of property...”; My India). Returning the love and doffing their hats to his status and posthumous influence in the region, India named her first national park after him (The Jim Corbett National Park).

Jim Corbett was also a writer extraordinaire, a fact often ignored in favor of his fame as the celebrated hunter. He hunted alone (“I have made it a hard and fast rule to go alone when hunting man-eaters, for if one’s companion is unarmed it is difficult to protect him, and if he is armed, it is even more difficult to protect oneself”), and he wrote alone producing prose that effortlessly took readers on nerve wrecking expeditions of hunting man-eaters. He shot with a long rifle and wrote in long sentences. Both his rifle and his sentences often met their targets. Take the following as an example:

"Dansay was an Irishman steeped to the crown of his head in every form of superstition, in which he had utter and complete belief, and it was therefore natural for him to tell his ghost stories in a very convincing manner. According to Dansay, a banshee was an evil female spirit that resided in dense forests and was so malignant that the mere hearing of it brought calamity to the hearer and his family, and the seeing of it death to the unfortunate beholder. Dansay described the call of a banshee as a long drawn-out scream, which was heard most frequently on dark and stormy nights. These banshee stories had a fearful fascination for me, for they had their setting in the jungles in which I loved to roam..." (Jungle Lore)

If you are not already spooked, you’re by now, at least, very curious about Dansay’s Banshee. I will let Jim tell you all about it:

"As on the evening of the storm a wind was blowing, and after I had been standing with my back to a tree for some minutes, I again heard the scream. Restraining with difficulty my impulse to run away, I stood trembling behind the tree and after the scream had been repeated a few times, I decided to creep up and have a look at the banshee. … —with my heart beating in my throat— I crept forward as slowly and as noiselessly as a Shadow, until I saw Dansay’s banshee.

In some violent storm of long ago a giant of the forest had been partly uprooted and had been prevented from crashing to the ground by falling across another and slightly smaller giant. The weight of the bigger tree had given the smaller tree a permanent bend, and when a gust of wind lifted the bigger one and then released it, it swayed back on to the supporting tree. At the point of impact the wood of both trees had died and worn as smooth as glass, and it was the friction between these two smooth surfaces that was emitting the terrifying scream. Not until I had laid the gun on the ground and climbed the leaning tree and sat on it while the scream was being repeated below me, was I satisfied that I had found the terror that was always at the back of my mind when I was alone in the jungles. From that day I date the desire I acquired of following up and getting to the bottom of every unusual thing I saw or heard in the jungles and for this I am grateful to Dansay for, by frightening me with his banshee, he started me on the compiling of many exciting and interesting jungle detective stories.” (Jungle Lore)

Locating and ‘getting to the bottom of the unusual sight’ above during our recent trip to the verdant national park, Rishabh said, ‘it looks like a scene from a videogame’. It was indeed a scene. It was Jim Corbett’s scene, which reminded me all about his Banshee and how not to be afraid of the unknown but be eagerly curious about it.

We Are Made One with What We Touch and See

We are resolved into the supreme air,

We are made one with what we touch and see,

With our heart's blood each crimson sun is fair,

With our young lives each spring impassioned tree

Flames into green, the wildest beasts that range

The moor our kinsmen are, all life is one, and all is change.

You just can't ignore the beauty around you

We have all these colorful flowers around us

Popping up

Do we see them

Have we just bought them for others to see

Taking a break and observe can be nice for you too

Crawl around toghether with ants and slugs and insects of all kinds

Well there you may find me

A bit extreme

But you can just stop and see

Take it all in

Feeling so alive

Every moment is so precious

All kinds of feelings have entered into this body

Life is flooding

Feelings are definitely flooding

I'm on this earth to take it all in

So thanks my love

For bringing in even more in my life

I thought there were no more

But a new planet has arisen

And I'm willing to join

I'm so thankful
