Enjoying a beautiful Friyay sunset tonight in the city. Loving these monsoon-like sunsets indeed. This was during the back end of a historic heatwave that brought record-breaking heat to the region. Stay cool & hydrated out there folks! Pic taken from around San Jose, CA. (Friday around sunset, September 9, 2022; 7:20 p.m.)

Staying hydrated is important. This is the coolest water bottle in the history of the universe. You push the button on the side and the lid flips open.
Did you know that syn-propanethial-S-oxide is what the enzyme released by onions creates when it is oxidised that causes us to cry when we cut onions open?

Plants shed water to the area under and around the plant using either up-turned or down-turned leaves, (depending on species), allowing their roots to take up the moisture. Contrary to popular belief, the epidermis of leaves do not absorb much water. Oxygen, carbon dioxide, and some water is absorbed from the atmosphere through stomata, which are organs that open and close to let in or let out CO2, and O2. They are found on the edges and underside of the leaf. A single image, hand-held.

Steve suggested I must have posed Molly in this winsome patch of sunlight, and although not beyond such manipulation, I actually didn't on this occasion. This is exactly where she chose to put herself while we waited for the brave explorer who was off in the bowels of a broken down building.
