Start of another week and I actually got some things done before falling down the Wombo rabbit hole. This image was prompted by my having to water the outside plants, which in October, I usually don't need to do. Warm and dry and it just doesn't feel like October.

Never could drink enough water until I bought this water bottle on Amazon. Fill twice a day and you are done. A rather big bottle with "coaching" to encourage you to drink. I take it everywhere with me. This segment of the bottle is a little less than 3" including the strap.

Ordinarily this would be dry land but much of the Australian Outback has had prolonged soakings of rain over many months. In western NSW extensive flat depressions adjoining the Darling River have filled, giving thousands of old gum trees a chance to recover from the last drought. The river itself is also rising but the channel is not expected to reach bankfull stage until later this month.

About 25 kms downstream from Wilcannia.
